You can almost feel a chill in the air (brrr!) as the date to register for this year’s 13 Reflections of Evil trading event draws near. Whether you are a nefarious evil-doer, a sorcerer of courage, or an imaginative purple dragon, you are sure to enjoy the spellbinding thrills, chills and all-around frightful fun during the 13 Reflections of Evil trading event taking place September 13-15, 2013 in World ShowPlace at Epcot.
A couple weeks ago I gave you a sneak peek at some of the pins and Vinylmation debuting at this year’s event. What else can you expect to find? Event logo tees, a baseball hat, D-Tech phone cases, individual pins, jumbo pins, pin sets, original and limited edition artwork, sculptures, Vinylmation (even a few custom pieces), as well as a “lucky” ear hat.
Of course, I couldn’t go on without showing you Disney Design Group Artist Michael Sullivan’s favorite…the storybook pin set.
This year, the event will take place over the course of multiple days, with pin and Vinylmation trading each getting their own dedicated day. There are separate packages available to attend the pin trading and Vinylmation events. Both events will include the opportunity to pre-purchase select themed merchandise designed for the event, trading activities, a silent auction, meet & greets with Disney merchandisers, artist signing opportunities, commemorative gifts and more. Craving even more magical experiences? Then add a Perilous Pin Breakfast or Villainous Vinylmation Breakfast to your itinerary if you are planning to attend either one of these trading events. Last but not least, if you choose to become part of the “Club” you will do so at your own peril, as it’s sure to draw you to the dark side (dun dun dun!). Ticket sales and event registration were slated to begin tomorrow (May 8) but in true Villains fashion, they have hidden the link to the magic portal that allows you to register because they refused to start ticket sales on any date but the 13th. So look to register for the event on the new date, May 13, 2013 at 13:00 hours (so spooky!) or 1:00 p.m. Eastern via www.ArtofDisneyParks.com.

Hi, will we see a Vinylmation Cast Chaser figure in the trade boxes this year?
Hi, can you please explain what pre-purchase means? Does that mean that there will be an opportunity before the event to purchase event merchandise on-line, for pick-up at the event?

That piece actually speaks to the fact that you will have the opportunity to purchase the merchandise via the Random Selection Process, for pick up at the event as normal.
Please keep in mind that no matter what event package you choose to attend, there will be one Random Selection Process (RSP) for the event as a whole. As always, the RSP will be run three times.

This even is only for pins and vinylmations correct? What is happening at HOllywood Studios? I thought a villian event was taking place there too.

It says that registration starts at “1:00 p.m. EST.” Do we really have to convert from Standard Time to Daylight Saving Time to figure out when registration really starts, or is it a typo that should say “EDT” instead?
David, great catch, I’m sorry about that. We’ll try to get it updated. It is for sure just Eastern time. The standard was a slip on my part. So be ready for ticket sales at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.

my last day of my stay is Friday the 13th, and I’ll be in the park will Disney Hollywood Studios there exclusive products in this park for this event(Such as pins of the other blog)
These pins and the ones that I showcased prior will actually all be part of the 13 Reflections of Evil Trading Event taking place at Epcot. You won’t find these pins at Disney Hollywood Studios unless merchandise remains after the event.
Will the merchandise catalog show up tomorrow as planned or is that delayed a well
Hi Anthony! I’ve used all of my super powers to find the catalog, but it looks like they’ve hidden that as well. We will make it available shortly, most likely prior to ticket sales on the 13th.
Will there be a Villain event at Hollywood Studios as well?
When you say pin and Vinylmation trading will each get their own dedicated day, does that mean it will be set up like last year’s event where pins were on Fri. and Sat., and Vinylmation were all day Sun.?
Are the days the same as last year? Pins on Friday and Saturday and Vinylmation on Sunday?
You are correct James, plans are underway for a very similar format to last years event.
