Today, for the first time ever, Disney Cruise Line visited Athens, Greece, giving guests the opportunity to explore magnificent ruins and beautiful scenery in this ancient land.
The Disney Magic called on Piraeus, the gateway to Athens, as part of its first 12-night Mediterranean itinerary. Still to come on this itinerary, which visits seven destinations in all, are Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey; Mykonos, Greece; and Valletta, Malta.
Next month, following more four- and seven-night European voyages, the Disney Magic will set sail on another 12-night itinerary, this one calling on Venice, Italy, for the first time ever. I’ll be there when the ship arrives to Venice, so stay tuned for photos of this next great first for Disney Cruise Line.
Don’t forget, we’re looking for photos of your European Disney cruise to share. Tweet them to @DisneyCruise with the hashtag #DCLEurope, and we’ll share a few of our favorites.

Actually, when the present cruise returns to Barcelona this Thursday, June 27th, the Magic will set sail on a 12 night cruise that will overnight in Venice for the first time. I’ll be onboard.
I can’t wait! We head there in July!
That sounds like fun! Do you know when Disney Cruise Line will be departing from New York next?
