When you live in Florida it feels like summer every day. But today – June 21 – officially marks the first day of the summer season. Nothing says summer more to me than the seaside and summer trips to the shore. Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts are a great tribute to those 19th century New England resorts. So to kick off this monstrous summer, here’s a look at the top ten things you didn’t know about two of my favorite resorts – Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

  • We just returned yesterday from a week long stay at Yacht Club Club level and it was wonderful! We would definitely stay at Yacht Club again the resort is beautiful and the amenities were unbeatable. We are sad to be home but already planning our next trip. Stormalong Bay is reason enough to stay at Beach and Yacht Club. My kids LOVED it and we got a good deal of pool time in addition to seeing the attractions.

  • I’m so excited we’re going to the Beach Club end of August!!! I hope it’s worth the ton of money we’re spending!

  • I can’t believe they didn’t mention the delicious ice cream sundaes at Beaches and Cream! It’s my favorite place to visit even when we aren’t staying there!
