Such a Cool thing offered for families in the Military!
WooHOOO!!!!! So excited!!!!! We had been waiting for this!!!!!
🙂
Fantastic! Thank you, again, Walt Disney Corporation for this honor. My family and I look forward to our visit at WDW.
Thank you, Disney!! Thank you for everything you do for our military. As a retiree family, this definitely makes our trips more affordable!
I appreciate this offer more than you can imagine!! We use this to treat my 3 children and 5 grandchildren to a trip every year. It is a time to get families together once a year. My daughters are married to military men and my husband is 100% disabled vet. Thank you Disney!!!
Enjoy your trip, Karen!
Thank you so much for continuing to offer this program for our servicemembers. We have been able to enjoy Disney vacations several times thanks to the Armed Forces Salute, and we hope to do so again soon! The Armed Forces Salute allows us to enjoy the Disney Parks and Resorts – without it, we might not be able to visit!
can you verify the dates? On the ticket site it gives expiration for September of 2013, not 2014 as in the above post. Thanks for the clarification.
To all the Military Families out there, Thank You for your commitment and service to this country so that we ALL can enjoy the Magic that Disney brings to our lives!! And a salute to Disney, what a wonderful way to say thanks!
I’ve been waiting for this announcement! Thank you! How many tickets can we purchase? Do you know if the room discount applies to either Art of Animation family suites or the Cabins at Fort Wilderness?
I have been checking back to see if this was being offered again. Very excited. Can’t wait to get back.
Jennifer,
Any help that is given to these dedicated young men and women that serve our country is wonderful! These people give up a lot when they put on a uniform and this is a great way to say Thank You to them!! A big Thank You to all at Disney that help make this happen!!
Arizona Mike
Thank you so much for this offer, as a military wife whose husband did two tours in two wars, these are the vacations we truly enjoy! I met my husband in Florida and in our early years of marriage spent many dates at Disney! I just wanted to ask if this offer includes war veterans who are not active nor retired? My husband is out due to disability from the Iraq War. Thanks again for your time and appreciation for our troops.
This is wonderful news and is quite deserving! Unfortunately, it seems as there is misinformation on the dates posted here and then in the provided link. Jennifer can you please clarify?
Thank you Disney, Since you have started the Stars and Stripes specials My wife and I have been able to take each of our 3 boys their wives and our grandkids. It has been a special treat for all of us. Out of all the benefits I have from the military this one is most special ( even if its not a true retirement benefit). Without the special pricing we could not have taken them. My wife is in a wheel chair and each of our trips with the boys has been very special for us to connect and and get to know them better. In this age families do not always communicate or associate, everyone is too busy. So we are proud to say Disney has made us a very close family of 15 because of their respect for the military.
Again, we thank you.
Thanks for sharing what a lovely affect this has had on your family, John.
Do the WDW tickets still include 1-day access to DisneyQuest?
Thanks.
Jennifer, I see where a couple other members have asked about this – When you click on the “For full details, click here” the system takes you to the current offer that expires Sept. 2013. Do you know when this will be updated to reflect your annoucement above? My family and I want to take advantage of the offer. Thanks
Wish Disney would extend this offer to members of the military who served in combat zones but did not stay for full retirement. PTSD, nightmares and anxiety. My lovely wife suffers from all of the above and still manages to be the joy of my life and a great mother. Just once it would be nice for her to feel that her sacrifice was appreciated. Sorry for venting, we both love Disney and will return even without a great deal….
Thank you so much again for this offer! Our family loves going and would only be possible with the continued support of our favorite place on Earth. We started the tradition of going after each deployment in 1999 and have gone several times since then.
We do have one question, when you purchase the 4 day park hopper and the water park and more does that include a fifth day in the water park? We are heading down in September and want to do the parks for four days and try out a water park for our fifth day there.
Again, thank you and can’t wait to go back in a couple of months.
Hoping to surprise my HF autistic daughter with a belated 24th birthday stay in the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Her courage on 9/11/01 still inspires me (her Dadddy was stationed in Kuwait City).
It would be appreciated if you could extend this offer to veterans also. This recession hit our family hard and a discount to Disneyland would be wonderful.
Hi! I have a question for you regarding the military tickets and how they will work with making Fastpass+ reservations on MyDisneyExperience before arriving at Walt Disney World. Since these tickets have to be activated before use would that prevent military families from making Fastpass+ reservations in advance?
Thank you!
Does this also apply to disabled veterans from the Vietnam-era? I really hope it does as we already have hotel reservations for the WDW Marathon !
I have a similar questions as Gail. I was separated with a 70% service connected disability without the option to retire after 12yrs active duty. Would my family and I qualify for the discounted ticket?
I think this is a wonderful idea! And it wouldn’t come as a surprise if under 100% Disabled did not qualify.
I’m always amazed-those injured in duty & didn’t have the opportunity to retire don’t get the same benefits of those who were fortunate enough to finish 20 without disability. That’s another rant forum I suppose
Thank you Disney for your recognition of those who’ve served this great country!!!
I’ve read that you can purchase 6 tickets maximum per military member. Can you only purchase 6 tickets maximum per year, per purchase, or per period of time? If it’s a period of time, how long is it? Thank you!
