I love the scenic views of Disneyland park from the decks of the Mark Twain Riverboat. My favorite view is of the Disneyland Railroad chugging next to the “Twain” as they align with each other along the Rivers of America and whistle hello. Of course, the cast member and guests with the highest vantage point are those in the wheelhouse, like Mark Twain Riverboat Captain Jen Holst, who talks about her duties in this “Every Role a Starring Role!”

The Mark Twain Riverboat is one of my favourite attractions at Disneyland and the only attraction’s poster that I have hung on my wall. On my last trip out there my fiancee and I were finally able to ride in the wheelhouse… What a fantastic viewpoint! Thanks Captain Dan!
Over the past 58 years, the most memorable Mark Twain Captain was, Mike O’Brien, He was the Captain of the Mark for over 20 years, he not only looked the part, but actually was a true sailor. He brought a great amount of authenticity to the role as well as making the adventure of “sailing” on the Rivers of America more real. I think many Disneyland old times will agree.
