It’s the moment we have all been waiting for, Disney fans. The ever-popular and treasured Ink & Paint Cel program at the Walt Disney World Resort has made its way here to the Disneyland Resort. While we have had a release at Disneyland Resort from time to time, I’m excited to announce that this will become a staple of the new Disneyana shop on Main Street, U.S.A. You can also expect to see additional offerings from this new collection.

'Right on Time' Hand-Painted Main Street Train Station-Inspired Cel Featuring Conductor Mickey, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Goofy Debuting July 20 at Disneyland Park

Some of you had previously inquired about the artists who were once a part of the Artisan Watch program. Well, I’m very happy to say that for the past year they have been hard at work training day in and day out to master the technique of ink & paint.

Debuting for the first time on July 20 is a Main Street Train Station inspired cel featuring some of Disney’s most beloved characters. An exquisitely hand-painted Conductor Mickey (who is doing his best to keep the trains on track) will be accompanied by Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Goofy. Right on Time will be available in a variety of formats including: unframed, framed and framed with signed postcard.

For those of you planning to visit the Disneyland Resort on July 20, several of the Ink & Paint artists associated with this piece will be on hand for a special appearance and signing at the Disneyana Shop in Disneyland park from 9–11 a.m. These artists include: Eric Scales, Dave Smith, Charles Landholm, Todd Wiesenhutter and June Valentine Ruppe.

If you are unable to attend, don’t worry, a special online purchase opportunity is available now, while supplies last. Find out more here.

I hope you can join us in welcoming back our talented team of artists and celebrate the official release of this exciting new program. Find out more on ArtofDisneyParks.com.

  • Thanks Mark. When I was there in June things hadn’t changed over yet.

    • It actually changed at the very end of June, almost the first of July.

  • Linda from CA, the Disney Gallery has taken over a portion of the lobby for Great Moments with Mr Lincoln. Currently the 50th Anniversary of the Enchanted Tiki Room is featured.

  • I just called Disneyland DelivEARS, and you cannot order this over the phone. You can only get the unframed piece online. It’s very disappointing that you’re able to call Walt Disney World DelivEARS to get the framed piece including the pin and autographed card, and not at Disneyland. I hope they will reconsider this as they roll out the program.

    • Thanks for your feedback Timothy! I know the teams will take it into consideration.

  • You mentioned that the Disneyana Shop has taken over the space previously occupied by the Disney Gallery. So has the Disney Gallery closed or has it been relocated?

    • Linda, you will actually find The Disney Gallery in the lobby of The Walt Disney Story attraction. The new location is adjacent to the Disneyana Shop in Town Square.

  • I am so excited that Disneyland is finally offering this program! After purchasing many cels from the Walt Disney World Resort, I can’t wait to add these wonderful works of art from Disneyland.

This particular subject matter is so appropriate to me as the first cel to be offered. Since trains have played such a memorable part of Disney and Disneyland history, it just makes sense.

    Congratulations to all the artists.

  • Michelle, I haven’t been to Disneyland in over 18 months (sadly!)… so the Artisan Watch program is gone? I have watches I treasure from Eric Scales, Dave Smith, and Charles Landholm, so I’m very happy they are utilizing their talent and enthusiasm for this new adventure! Best wishes to them. Thanks for bringing this new program to our attention.

    • Nanette, I hope that you can visit again soon and see some of the new works that these artists will be debuting.

  • No pin release as in WDW with the Art work??

    • Hi Michael! Not with this particular piece, but that’s not to say it won’t change down the line.

  • Disneyana is closed for refurbishment – according to the official
    Disneyland Resort list.

    • Hey Gregory! Just recently the Disneyana Shop overtook the space previously occupied by The Disney Gallery (also formerly the Bank of Main Street), in Town Square. You can find it on the right hand side, as you enter the Disneyland park gates. Hope that helps.

  • Hmmm… where could Donald be? In the caboose!?! 😀

  • Very cool! Looking forward to seeing what iconic images around the Disneyland Resort they will incorporate into the artwork.
