Special Indiana Jones Adventure Opportunity for Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders

As we told you yesterday, a new curse has been unleashed on Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland park, and you will never look at Mara the same way again! And for the next few days, Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders will have a special opportunity to experience the classic attraction. Here are the details:

Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013

  • From 11:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m., after park closing (the remainder of the park will not be open during this time)

Friday, Aug. 16, 2013

  • From 8-10 a.m. through the Indiana Jones Adventure FASTPASS return queue (this queue will not be available to general park guests during this time)

Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013

  • From 7-8 a.m. before park opening (no other attractions, entertainment or services will be available for Passholders during this time)
  • From 8-10 a.m. through the Indiana Jones Adventure FASTPASS return queue (this queue will not be available to general park guests during this time)
  • From 11:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m., after park closing (the remainder of the park will not be open during this time)

A valid Annual Passport must be presented to the Cast Member at the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction entrance for entry during these special AP hours (valid photo ID may also be required). Valid Theme Park admission required, and Passport blockout dates apply. For admission to the Park during the hours of 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. on the designated days, please present your valid Annual Passport and Theme Park admission to an attendant at the turnstiles (subject to Park capacity). For after-Park-closing opportunity, Annual Passholders must be in the Park prior to Park closing hours. Passholders will not be admitted into the Park after the Park’s scheduled closure. Attraction height and safety requirements apply. Parking is not included. Information and event are subject to restrictions and change without notice.

Comments

  • So, how can APs ride from 7 – 8 AM on Sunday? Is there AP Early Entry for APs, or is it for those who stay on Disney property?

    • Just present your valid Annual Passport at any regular Disneyland park turnstile at the Main Entrance for admission to the park when you arrive on Saturday. Annual Passport blockout dates apply.

  • Do you have to sign up for this event? I don’t see a link. Do you just show up with your valid annual pass? Thanks.

    • Annual Passholders do not need to register for the event.

  • Gah! so now I have to look into Mara’s eyes? And all this time I was so happy that I never have. #trickyErin

    • There’s no escaping it, Jason!

  • @ Dan noticed this in the ‘fine print’

    πŸ™‚ Enjoy the ride

  • I thought that all Annual Passes (minus the very top level) were blocked on Saturday? Is the Saturday preview just for the one that works 365 days a year and not the others?

Also, what does the second bullet point on Saturday mean, that the FASTPASS queue will not be available to general guests at this time? Can general guests still access the attraction?

  • Okay, so I’m new to this Annual Passholder club. I have one for the Walt Disney World Resort. Is there a link somewhere I can look up these cool things? Or would a Cast Member at my resort hotel know about things like this?

I don’t want to miss out on any extra special magic!

Oh, and I’m jealous of all you Californians with your Indiana Jones ride. Sigh…guess I’ll have to stick with Expedition Everest and Test Track!

  • I’m with Jason. I’ve never looked in to Mara’s eyes. Don’t want to take any chances! Will I completely miss out on the new experience now if I don’t look at this part of the attraction?

    • You will not miss out, Linda. And good for you for following directions so well!

  • So is this “Curse” only going to last these 3 days? Or is this like a preview that everyone after Saturday will be able to see?

    • Jessica – The “curse” isn’t lifting anytime soon …

  • Linda I think we’re doomed! Hmm if I video it and don’t look directly then I watch later at home maybe there’s still hope! πŸ˜€

  • Hi Erin–Dan (first comment posted) mentioned something about going on Sunday from 7-8am – is that possible?

    • I was assuming he meant Saturday – all the available times/days are listed above.

  • If I have a Deluxe and I am blocked out tomorrow, can I still go to the 7-8am?

  • How are the lines looking for these events? Are people planning on “camping out” for the saturday night one?

  • It’s disappointing that this is an AP event but half of the Ap’s are blocked :/

  • Does anyone know if this is worth it or if this will be integrated into the ride on sunday for the general public? I have tickets to Planes at El Capitan which are non refundable and won’t make it back to the park in time if I go. What to do =)

  • I didn’t attend the AP event, but I did go on the ride on Saturday.

I really like the new Mara effects.
It should be noted that there is a different effect on Mara’s face depending on which door you go through.

  • I had several friends send me links to this with video! WOW! so fun wish I could be there I am so jelous lol. Thanks for sharing
