Alison Sweeney knows the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle. For 12 consecutive seasons as host of “The Biggest Loser,” Alison has played a major role in transforming people’s lives.

Inspired by Cinderella, reaching the finish line, earning a runDisney medal and the opportunity to share the experience with her kids, Alison ran and completed the Disneyland Half Marathon on Sunday, September 1.

Alison’s message: “I encourage everybody that if you ever thought ‘I can’t do it,’ yes you can. You just have to try, just have to commit yourself and work hard.”

Here’s a look at Alison’s magical Disneyland Half Marathon.

Congratulations, Alison!

  • I just love Alison Sweeney…she seems like such a nice person and is always so kind to everyone on the TV. I love that she accomplished a personal goal and I think she deserves a lot of praise for always being such a classy and positive celebrity figure. It’s so nice to see her achieve something for herself. It inspires me to want to do one of these races myself!!!

  • Dear Alison S., your achievements are so inspirational! I just got back from a training run for the Tinker Bell Half-Marathon coming up in January; reflecting on your comments kept a smile on my face and a song in my heart the whole way. Let the endorphins flow! Cheers from Alison J.

  • If I may add to Alison’s comment of “I encourage everybody that if you ever thought ‘I can’t do it,’ yes you can,” apart from jogging through my neighborhood to train, this year’s Disneyland 5K was my first race, and the miles went by in a flash thanks to the wonderful Disney atmosphere. Everyone was having a great time, and having Cast Members along the route was the perfect encouragement. I don’t think I’ve ever high-fived so many people!

If you’re looking to get into running races, I can’t recommend RunDisney enough. They might be a bit pricier than other races, but I believe it’s worth every dollar.
