We are excited to welcome #1 New York Times bestselling author, Golden Globe winner, and huge Disney fan, Chris Colfer to the World of Disney as we celebrate the release of his second book, The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns.
Best known for his role as Kurt Hummel on “Glee,” Colfer will be joining us October 12, 2013 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Downtown Disney District, to sign copies of his bestselling series.
The Land of Stories brings readers on a thrilling quest filled with magic spells, laugh-out-loud humor and page-turning adventure. After Alex & Conner Bailey find themselves in the Land of Stories, they come face-to-face with the characters they grew up reading about. But the fairy tales they knew were just the beginning.
In addition to being a bestselling author, Golden Globe winner, and Emmy and SAG award nominee, Chris is an honored member of TIME 100, Time magazine’s annual list of the one-hundred most influential people in the world and has written several books including Struck By Lightning: The Carson Phillips Journal and The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell along with his most recent release.

I was there yesterday. And i have to say this was very well organized. I now there where some fans “disappointed” Because they brought things to sign or they could not take pictures. But if they had read before hand it clearly stated you had to buy the book there starting at 9:00 am.
At 3:30 the line was gone and books were still being sold and people were still being let in. So I see no problem. As for the Pictures well… lets face it He is a person and he had the choice.
But for Disney’s part who had over 300 people plus some people who were just there with their friends I thought this was one of the best run events. I liked that the vouchers were numbered and you were send in by those numbers. It was quick the time you had but Chris was very nice and personable.
Thank you Disney for running such a smooth event.
I have been to other disney events (not as smooth)
and I have been to other book signings not as smooth but this event was the best. Especailly when you consider the number of people!
Do you know how many vouchers will be given out?
What side of the World Of Disney store are the books going to be sold at? Is there a line going to be formed before the store opens at 9 am on one of the sides to buy the book?
Would there be the opportunity to take a quick picture with him as he is signing the book?
Cheryl, that’s such a great question. While we will not be able to offer posed photos with Chris, our teams will definitely be on hand to grab quick snapshots while you are interacting with Chris during the signing. Of course, all of that is subject to time and availability as we anticipate there will be many of Chris’s fans on hand.
