Ghosts, princesses and even Disney villains were a few favorite costumes of the night as hundreds of Disney Parks Blog readers joined the fun at our #NotSoScary Halloween “Treat-Up” at Magic Kingdom Park.
Our meet-up began at Tomorrowland Terrace with photos, caricatures and even special signed posters by Disney artists for some lucky guests on Friday the 13th. Then, the group learned firsthand how Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties are created and how best to experience it all from Walt Disney World Entertainment show director Tara Anderson and Denise Case from creative development at Walt Disney World Entertainment.
As a special surprise for readers, “Treat Up” attendees got a sneak peek inside Princess Fairytale Hall before the official grand opening on September 18. But before heading over to New Fantasyland, Walt Disney Imagineers Jason Grandt and Pam Rawlins talked about the attraction and shared a few stories about how it was created.
To wrap the night, guests were able to return to Tomorrowland Terrace for VIP viewing of “Celebrate the Magic” and “Happy HalloWishes.”
Thank you to everyone who attended the “Treat Up” – the costumes at this year’s event were the best yet. Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for information about our next meet-up opportunity.
