This week was a busy one for the Disney Parks Blog. We held not one, but two meet-ups this week here at the Walt Disney World Resort. The first celebrated the grand reopening of California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and gave our readers a taste of what to expect from the new menu. The evening ended with an amazing view of “Wishes” fireworks.
Then last night we celebrated Friday the 13th with our Disney Parks Blog #NotSoScary Treat-Up at Magic Kingdom Park, during which our guests heard firsthand about how Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties are created. They were also surprised with a sneak peek trip inside Princess Fairytale Hall, which officially opens in New Fantasyland on September 18.
Speaking of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the return of this annual fall event marked the debut appearance of Jack Skellington and Sally from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Check out the photos below of what their new greeting location looks like.

Saying Disney is still the “funnest spot on Earth” sounds a bit campy, coming from a 50 year old, and a guy to boot, but the greatest thing of Disney is one never grows out of it, or has to. No one is too cool for it, or too uncool for that matter, no one is too old, too young, too skinny , too fat, too poor or too rich. It is a place that just accepts us for who we are, saying “Welcome, let’s all have some fun!”
The photos were amazing. Thank you for sharing them with us.
