It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Okay so it’s still Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, but behind the scenes, the Creative Entertainment team is already hard at work getting ready to deck the halls for the holidays. And this year, they’re bringing something new to Disney California Adventure park that’s sure to be fantástico – Disney ¡Viva Navidad!
Disney ¡Viva Navidad! will bring the Paradise Gardens area of the park to life with festive music, vibrant colors, jubilant dancing, character appearances, delicious food and fun activities for the whole family.
Several times each day, a high-energy street party takes over Paradise Gardens, led by the “Three Caballeros” – Donald Duck and his life-long amigos Panchito from Mexico and Jose Carioca from Brazil. The infectious mix of Mariachi and Samba musicians, folklórico and carnaval dancers, 12-foot-tall mojiganga puppets and those ambassadors of holiday cheer, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, will really get the crowd going, as Santa and Mrs. Claus join in to cheer and celebrate “¡Viva Navidad!”
You won’t want to miss it! Disney ¡Viva Navidad! becomes part of the Holidays at Disneyland Resort on November 15 and continues through January 6, 2014, with additional Three Kings Day celebrations January 3-6.
Oh I’m so glad I don’t have to wait until January to meet the Three Caballeros! They’re my all time favorites! Also, I’m so excited because it’s going to be my first time meeting them!!^^ Thanks for bringing more of this wonderful characters and cool shows!!!
How fun, can’t wait for the holidays to begin. When will you have candlelight procession sign us and schedule, also where will Saving Mr. Banks preview and how do I get on the list to attend it.
Will the bands that usually play at the Paradise Garden Bandstand still be performing during this time? The Ellis Island Boys and Sligo Rags are what we plan our trips to the resort around. We could easily spend half our afternoon in this corner of the park listening to these talented bands play.
Wonderful news! We are so excited for this!
And I too hope the Three Caballeros will be available for meet and greet and pictures!
I can not even begin to explain how excited I am to read about this! This will be our first time visiting during all the Christmas festivities, plus my son and nieces first time visiting at all. I grew up loving The Three Caballeros and so I can not wait to see this! So excited!! 🙂 Also, I’m definitely going to have to buy some merchandise, its been a LONG time since I’ve heard the three mentioned so I can not wait!
This sounds awesome, I like that Disney California Holiday offerings are finally starting to grow. Hopefully every year the park gets more offerings and people start realizing that not only Disneyland has some great holiday entertainment. Now if only the park would get some snow machines in grizzled peak so that there would be the occasional snowing and that Holiday promotions advertise the spectacular offering this park has for news years eve
This is the next best thing to getting new Three Caballeros animation, like Walt Disney World got just a couple years back.
So, does this mean that Pancho and Jose will be Meet n’ Greet characters? If so I know of someone who will fly down just for that.
Alyxandria – You’ll be pleased to know, those three happy chappies (in snappy serapes!) will definitely be appearing during the event!
Hope this becomes an annual offering.
It would be nice to have this event at WDW as well.
Alex beat me to it; will there be merch? I love Jose!
Alex and Jessica – Great news! I checked with our Merchandise team, and they’re planning a special line of items just for this event. Stay tuned for more details!
I really hope you have Caballeros merchandise to buy for this special holiday celebration. I will definitely buy Caballeros stuff!
Awesome! I love the three caballeros!
My husband, a friend of ours and I will be arriving on the 15th. This is perfect! What a better way to kick off the holidays than at Disneyland!
