I’m beyond excited to share with you details about a new 2014 calendar coming to Disney Parks this month. The calendar features one of my favorite things – Disney attraction posters! You may recall the amazing book that was published last year titled “Poster Art of Disney Parks” by Walt Disney Imagineers Vanessa Hunt and Danny Handke. I love that book as it contains a great history and plenty of photographs of those classic Disney Parks’ images (a must have for any Disney fan!). Like the book, the new 12-month calendar is a tribute to some of the most iconic Disney attraction posters.
The calendar uses the same oversized format as the previous 2013 calendar and the calendar we released at Star Wars Weekends this past May. Each 12-inch by 18-inch poster can be removed from the calendar (edges are perforated), and is suitable for framing. They were printed on acid-free and lignin-free paper.
There are two different calendars – one for Disneyland Resort and one for Walt Disney World Resort. The souvenirs team selected complementary attractions for most months, but there are a few exceptions (hello, little Orange Bird at the Sunshine Tree Terrace at the Walt Disney World Resort!).
The other cool part about these new calendars is that you get a preview of some 2014 artwork that will be featured on select merchandise in the coming year.
Which attraction poster is your favorite? Please share in the comments below.

A friend of mine recently went to Disneyland in CA and was told they they sold out within the first week of December!! They also said that they are printing new ones, but they wont be selling them on the website anymore, Only in the park! Does anyone know when they’ll be available to buy? I’m gagging and Dying to get one! Thank You 🙂
I just returned from Walt Disney World. I first saw them at Mouse Gear on December 24th in EPCOT. I only SAW them as a woman was just clearing the entire supply of them and bought them all! I checked the Emporium in Magic Kingdom and was told that they sold out. However, I found them in the large gift shop in Animal Kingdom on December 26th. They had a large supply at that time. I finally was able to get one.
I just called Merchandise Guest Services, and both versions are sold out — very disappointing! I am crossing my fingers that more will be printed. 🙂
Would anyone be able to tell me whether this calendar is till available for purchase at Disneyland?
These are all sold out online and I’m not sure if this is the only Disney Parks Calendar they are doing for 2014? I really wanted to get one like yo can buy in the parks so if anyone can point me in the right direction to find one, I am not finding anything online. Thanks!
I have been searching everywhere for the Disneyland calendar and it’s no where. Will these be restocked?
Disneyland still has the calendars available for purchase as does Disney California Adventure.
: )
Ugh, the Disney World calendar is sold out! Any plans to print more?
Thank you for confirming that, Claudia. I may not have bothered if you hadn’t have posted about ordering it via phone, but I just did and ordered one too. Very happy now!!
Phoned in the order to Guest Services! I was really upset they were sold out online! THANK YOU. Can’t wait to put up the calender.
I can confirm that you can call and order one of these over the phone via the number above. I called and placed my order last night since they are unavailable online.
Thanks!
The calendars were in the parks as of oct 22 my guess they will be there in dec
My favorite would be a tie between The Enchanted Tiki Room, The Orange Bird, and the Country Bear Jamboree!
will this be for sale at WDW Dec 1st – 6th?
Today is October 22 and the Disneyland Attraction Poster Calendar cannot be purchased on line. It’s already sold out. But the say they update the on line site every day so I guess we have to check every day and it will hopefully be back in stock soon.
@Bruce – I’m sorry for the challenge. As you can probably imagine, the calendars (along with the release of the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley) were quite popular yesterday. You are correct that inventory levels vary frequently for the online store. Mondays are typically the days that new items are added to the store (see New Arrivals – http://www.disneystore.com/disney-parks-product/mn/1001081+1000995/
Another option for you would be to contact our Merchandise Guest Services team. You can either contact them by telephone at 877-560-6477 or by email at Merchandise.Guest.Services@DisneyParks.com
If you choose that option, please refer to the following item numbers:
Disneyland Resort calendar – 400007737082
Walt Disney World Resort calendar – 400007737075
It just figures…the calendars and Vera Bradly purses become available to purchase online THE DAY AFTER the free shipping offer…rats!!!
LOVE IT!!!!!… I have the 2013 and will definitely pick this one up when I’m down there for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon 😀
@Kristle – Awesome! I hope you have a great time at the Wine & Dine Half Marathon. I will be there as well since my fiancee will be running it this year. Hope to see you.
Hi Steven! In reference to Charles comment(#33 above), I have been looking online for the Ear hat ornaments that light up(the set that cost like $150.00.) I never seen them come available online. Did they run out of them at the parks? I really did like Pete’s Dragon and the American Eagle! They bring back fond memories of going to WDW with my parents when I was a little girl!
@Andrea – I have good news. Here is the direct link to the ornament set on the Disney Parks online store: http://www.disneystore.com/main-street-electrical-parade-ear-hat-ornament-set/mp/1342017/1000344/
I am SO pleased to hear you will be offering BOTH calendars online on Monday!! It seems too often that the website focuses primarily on Disney World Merchandise. And I am SO very pleased how quickly they are being posted online! It seems like for most items there is a long delay between when items are available in the park and when (or if) they show up online.
Awesome! I am picking one up at WDW next week and it will grace my office wall all next year!
Will I be able to get one if I’m not visiting the parks? Is shipping an option?
@Rachel – You have two options. On Monday, October 21, we will be releasing both version via the Disney Parks online store – http://www.DisneyParks.com/Store
The other option is to contact Merchandise Guest Services by telephone at 877-560-6477 or by email at Merchandise.Guest.Services@DisneyParks.com
Please reference the following item numbers when contacting that team.
Disneyland Resort calendar – 400007737082
Walt Disney World Resort calendar – 400007737075
Shipping is an option for both the online store and Merchandise Guests Services.
I absolutely LOVE the POSTER ART OF THE DISNEY PARKS book, so I look forward to getting the calendar, too. I know that some of the posters are available at Disney Stores [I noticed several at Downtown Disney at the DLR when my family visited there back in June]. And some of them are also available in the stores via the Art on Demand kiosk. But there are many attraction posters that are NOT available. It would be great if Disney could make them all available for fans to purchase. Thanks for all you do to bring the magic to the fans.
Really love the look of these, I always get a WDW calendar every year
Make sure you have plenty of stock as I won’t be there until December! 🙂
@Linda – I hope you have a good trip. If you want to get it before your visit, we are releasing both versions on Monday, October 21 via http://www.DisneyParks.com/Store
This calendar looks wonderful! I can’t wait to buy one during my honeymoon visit this December. I have the book already, and love it!
@Anthony – Honeymoon!? Congratulations!! 🙂 I hope you have an amazing time. I wish you many happy years filled with love and laughter.
These calendars look great, but there are a bunch of great attraction posters for DCA that themselves would make for a great calendar. Hopefully in 2015 DCA will be represented.
I absolutely love this!!!!
It’s like an awesome “recap” of every trip!!!
My favorite is the Skyway to Tomorrowland Poster. I miss that relaxing ride across the park. And it was my first Walt Disney World job on the college program in the summer of 1992… 😀
@Scott – Great choice! And hello to a fellow Disney College Program alumn (summer 1997 for me :).
I just bought this yesterday at World of Disney! It is FANTASTIC! Worth every penny of the $20. I’m not even using it as a calendar – framing them all immediately!
@Patricia – Yahoo! That’s awesome and a great idea.
This looks great. It reminds me, however, of two things I continue to be confused about when it comes to Disney Parks merchandise.
1. Why am I unable to purchase WDW attraction posters through the online store? I think there is a big demand for these posters, and currently people can only buy them at Art of Disney stores on property.
2. Why aren’t there more attraction posters available for sale? I have been collecting them for a few years (framing the 22 x 28 ones), but I am running out of posters available at the kiosks at Art of Disney. It seems to me that there must be lots of posters from all four parks (i.e. a Tower of Terror poster, or a MuppetVision poster, or a Soarin’ poster), and I promise to spend money irrationally on these posters if and when they become available for sale.
Thanks.
@Alexander – Great questions. I’ve contacted some partners and will follow up once I hear responses.
The Earful Tower on cover AND classic posters for rides including 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea?!!
Just take my money, take all of it!!
@Ryan – “Captain! Giant squid dead ahead!”
We’re in Disney now, but will be leaving this weekend, so I’m glad to see these will be available online to buy also!
@Nathan – I hope your trip has been great! It’s a wonderful time to be visiting (especially with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties and the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival in full swing). Good times all around. Have a safe trip home.
Awesome! I bought the book last and absolutely love all the artwork. Now I can get the calendar to have pictures to hang on the walls!
I’ll be buying this online Monday for sure!
Thanks for the wonderful merch updates Steven!
@Shawn – Sweet! I agree that the Poster Book is pretty amazing. I’m glad you enjoy these articles. It’s fun (and pretty easy) to talk about things I love.
I have the book and it is awesome!! Look forward to getting a calendar too!!
We were just in Disneyland last week and missed this great item! I will have to order on-line Monday the 21st. Thanks for great post.
Mike
They looked amazing. Is it bad that I just want them for the posters! Love it. Keep the posters stuff coming
@Kyle – That is not a bad idea at all as I considered doing the same thing 🙂
The Orange Bird attraction poster is the best! I can’t wait to purchase one of these!
@Melissa – Yes! Yes! Yes! I love the happy little Orange Bird and was thrilled to see him in the calendar. Exciting times in 2014. 🙂
I picked up a WDW calendar at MouseGear this past Thursday. Also saw it at Island Mercantile in AK
When and where can we get them? I remember getting a calendar a while back as an AP gift… any chance of doing a promotion like that again?
@Ethan – Please see my response to question #1 from Katherine. I’ve not heard of any plans for that kind of Annual Passholder promotion at this point.
YES! I was really looking forward to this post after you had given me the sku’s for both of them!! I love these calendars.
Will they be offered online?
Also, I know I keep asking, but have you heard any more about those purchase-with-purchase fleece blankets?
THANKS!!!
@Jonathan – Yes, they will be offered online starting Monday, October 21. And for the purchase-with-purchase fleece, I’ve heard November. I don’t have an ETA yet. Sorry for the delayed response. Seems like you really want it though 🙂
@Jonathan – The calendars can be found on the Disney Parks online store here:
Disneyland Resort – http://www.disneystore.com/disneyland-attraction-poster-calendar-2014/mp/1344053/1000252/
Walt Disney World Resort – http://www.disneystore.com/walt-disney-world-attraction-poster-calendar-2014/mp/1341687/1000252/
I picked one up on Sunday, Oct. 13 at Mouse Gears in Epcot. It is a gorgeous calendar.
I love this! My birthday is next month, so I’ve already told everyone what I want, haha. Also, love that November (for the DL one) is Big Thunder….my favorite ride!
@Dinah – Happy birthday a few weeks early! Sounds like a great gift idea.
I hope I can get the Disneyland online! I love the posters!
My birthday is in July so seeing Pirates of the Caribbean coincide with that is very cool to me!! 🙂
@Michael – Wishing you a very (early) happy birthday. We did that for you, of course 🙂
Last year’s 2013 calendar was online, so hopefully this one will be, as well…for BOTH parks. 🙂 Seems like there is more WDW merchandise in the online store than Disneyland.
Awesome! I hope to get my hands on this, it looks great 🙂
When & where will these be available to purchase?
Needs more Davey Crockett Explorer Canoes 😉 All kidding aside, these look outstanding.
@James – Ha! Glad you liked them.
I love them! Will the calendars be available online or in the parks only? I’m not going to be at WDW until Oct ’14 but these are a must!
Will these be available for purchase on DisneyStore?
@Renee and Michael – Look for them to be released on Monday, October 21 at the Disney Parks online store – http://www.DisneyParks.com/Store
I love this – will this be available at the online store for Disney?
