First Lady Michelle Obama and Disney Chairman and CEO Robert A. Iger provide keynote addresses at Disney's first-ever 'Veterans Institute'

Both Mr. Iger and Mrs. Obama were joined at the daylong seminar by ABC News anchor, Bob Woodruff and other inspiring speakers and panelists to encourage the employment of servicemen and women transitioning to the private sector.

Along with renowned keynote speakers and experts, seminar participants got an inside look at Disney’s Heroes Work Here, customized Disney Institute courses as well as advice and stories from veterans who have already made the transition to the civilian workforce.

  • As a former Cast Member, current shareholder, AND a Veteran, I am so proud of the work that the Disney company has done with the “Heroes Work Here” program. While I truly hope that more companies adopt similar programs, it’s wonderful seeing Disney lead the way.

Please keep up the great work.
