As I roll out of bed this morning and walk (limp) to the coffee pot, I couldn’t help but reminisce about the amazing experience that was the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. From the dancing hippos on the course, to the green army men helping us to take that hill, to the disco tunnel, to The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, to the unbelievable finish line experience … all in all it was a pretty amazing night. And all that was before we got to the Finish Line Party!
Congratulations to the men’s overall winner Justin Scheid from Sparta, NJ, and the women’s champion Kristin Teneglia of Seminole, Fla. Both broke the tape in course record setting times.

Thanks so much runDisney for all that you do for your runners. Wine and Dine weekend was absolutely fabulous! We wined, we dined, we “expoed”, we raced (twice)! The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was amazing. I smiled my way through 4 days in runners paradise, sharing this wonderful experience with so many great friends near and far. Everywhere I went their were runners to talk with and fun to be had. Until next time, rest, train, plan, and get ready to get a little Dopey!

I am so excited to do this next year! I am going to do the coast to coast challenge. the Disneyland Half was my first Half this year– I am doing both in 2014!!!! Cannot wait!!!!
