On Friday, Imagineer and Disney Legend Tony Baxter was honored with a window on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland park. As Jon Storbeck told us in his post last week, Tony played a key role in the development of now-classic Disneyland Resort attractions, such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (1979), New Fantasyland (1983), Star Tours (1987), Splash Mountain (1989), and Indiana Jones Adventure (1995). Today we’ve got a special video recap of the dedication ceremony, featuring Tony along with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs and Walt Disney Imagineering Chief Creative Executive Bruce Vaughn.

Congratulations again Tony!
I can’t imagine Disneyland without the attractions that Tony developed. Truly a well deserved honor.
He certainly deserves it! Amazing man. 😀
I will be forever grateful to Tony for the experience that was the original Journey Into Imagination. Thank you, Tony, for Dreamfinder & Figment, and most importantly for that “one little spark of inspiration that’s at the heart of all creation.”
Disney Legend Tony, don’t retire but stay inspired! You have a lot ahead of you.

Well deserved! Whenever I ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad I always say, “Thank you Tony Baxter!”
