Michigan State Spartans and the Stanford Cardinal at Disneyland Resort Rose Bowl Team Ceremony

In a tradition started by Walt Disney himself in 1959, the Disneyland Resort hosted this year’s Rose Bowl teams in advance of their New Year’s Day game in Pasadena, Calif. Players and coaches from Stanford Cardinal and Michigan State Spartans were celebrated in a special ceremony this afternoon in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle in Disneyland park.

After the ceremony, the teams enjoyed some Disneyland Resort fun, stopping by Cars Land in Disney California Adventure park and the classic attraction, Matterhorn Bobsleds.

Please join me in wishing both teams good luck in the 100th Rose Bowl game on January 1, 2014!

  • Go Green! It was fun seeing the players walking through Downtown Disney.

  • While a Wolverine,I am proud of the Spartans, good luck in the Rose Bowl!

  • Go Green Go White. Used to live in CA, so wish I was there now.

  • I saw several of the Michigan State players on main street and said to them, I am not a big football fan, and since I live in Ca, that I would be rooting for the Ca team. But I did tell them congrats for making it to the Rose Bowl. And the main thing to have fun playing there. And who ever wins I said to just have the time of their lives and have a blast!!

  • GO SPARTANS!!!!!!!
