This May, the Disney Magic is returning to Europe for yet another fantastic summer in the Mediterranean! In preparation for these voyages, I touched base with Marcy, one of the Disney Cruise Line specialists on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, to find out what questions she answers the most about our European cruises. With that information, we created a series of videos where Marcy answers your questions directly, giving destination overviews, Port Adventure recommendations and some great travel tips from her own experiences.
We’ll be sharing these videos at the start of each week over the next couple of months, and I’m sure you’ll find them helpful if you’re planning a European cruise with us, or even just thinking about one. First up, Marcy tells us about destinations in the Greek Isles, which you can experience on both 9- and 12-night voyages this summer. Check it out, and let us know what types of adventures your family would love to have with us in Greece.
Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and Disney Cruise Line Facebook page, and follow @DisneyCruise on Twitter for more about Disney Cruise Line’s voyages in Europe. While you’re on Twitter, join in the conversation by using the hashtag #DCLEurope.

Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for sharing this information. A wonderful and very thorough account was offered by your Disney Cruise Line Specialist, Marcy. Being of Greek descent, I fully appreciated and identified with Marcy’s first hand knowledge and experience in Greece.
We are actually sailing our ninth Disney cruise this summer but it’s a first sailing through the Mediterranean Sea, we’re usually land trekkers while in Greece. This trip has us very excited because it’s with Disney Cruise Line, the only cruise line for us.
My question is about Venice’s Marco Polo Airport and ground transfers to the Disney Magic. In planning for my autistic son, I would like to know if the transfers will involve a water taxi followed by car/van/motor coach. I just need to load photographs on his i-Pad to acclimate him before the trip.
Also, do we claim our own luggage at the airport? I am assuming we do since we must clear Italian Customs and Immigration.
Thank you kindly for your time and efforts regarding my questions,
Best regards,
Jacqueline
Hello Jacqueline! So happy you’ll be joining us in Europe this summer!
Guests who have purchased the Disney Cruise Line Air Program or ground transfers from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Port of Venice will claim their luggage at baggage claim and go through customs. A representative will meet the guests outside of Baggage Claim area to direct them to their designated transportation. Transportation options may be a motor coach, mini-bus or taxi depending on arrival time and party-size. The luggage will be transported to the ship and delivered to the guest’s stateroom.
If you have anymore questions about your trip, Marcy or one of the other Disney Cruise Line specialists will be happy to help. Head on over to DisneyParksMomsPanel.com, and enjoy your trip!
