“Brad, years from now we’re totally going to make fun of your baggy plaid pants.”
“Not as much as your short shorts, Greg!”
“HAHAHAHAHAHA!”
“Guys do you believe this I am shakinghands with a robot, I may never wash this hand again.
“Top this, George”
Yes! Epcot in the 1980s was THE BEST! 🙂
“Disney fans wish they could time travel back to meet this guy. Even if they had to have our 80’s hair for it.”
A lot of people look at EPCOT today and complain it has fallen behind the times. I think that’s proof that EPCOT got a lot of the future right. It inspired me to study computer engineering and now I’m working on next year’s smartphone processors.
Last year, I shared an office with someone who helped build EPCOT 30 years ago.
In the 80s, it was normal to see a robot on a jetski telling jokes as you entered Epcot…
Hey, ladies. Wanna take a ride on my Segway?
“Really, people, I’m just another tourist, I am NOT an exhibit, would you please stop touching me?”
What did the Robot say to his new Disney friends? Hey there I’m sparkling all over ya!
“Can you believe he told Captain EO to “Beat It”?
Early model WALL-E. Very early model.
“Don’t laugh, I’m serious! Soon you will take pictures of the food you just are in the Land with your phone and then share them with everyone all over the world in seconds!”
To the point about Epcot getting the future right: Spaceship Earth is the signature attraction in the park and it’s about the history of communication. Communication has seen the seen greater advancements than anything else since 1982. Perhaps they were lucky with the choice of the signature attraction’s theme, but the absolutely nailed it.
“Remember to take care of those hats and glasses, cause here’s the wildest ride in the wilderness!”
“At least they’re not making us wear those Excruciating Polyester Costumes Of Torture, like the rest of the cast members around here, Ha Ha Ha!”
What’s that? Shoes with air pumps in them? Hah, they’ll never sell……
This amazing robot uses new battery technology that only weighs fifty pounds and delivers up to ten minutes of power. Also on-board is a powerful microprocessor that allows this ‘bot of the future to speak over 50 words. Amazing what the future holds!
“can anyone give me directions to the American Adventure?”
