This year’s Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will return to the park March 5, with new Muppet-themed topiaries, Outdoor Kitchens, and first-time acts in the Flower Power Concert Series.

This year’s topiaries will feature Goofy, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck celebrating spring with a butterfly hunt at the park’s main entrance, while Kermit and Miss Piggy will appear in World Showcase.

Outdoor Kitchens, which debuted at the festival last year, will return to showcase a slew of new “sweet & savory” and “spring-inspired” menu items.

Earlier this week, Disney Parks Blog author Charles Stovall gave you a look at new HGTV & DIY Network stars who will appear at the festival – but they aren’t the only new entertainers. Two new acts are also on the schedule for this year’s Flower Power Concert Series: Gary Lewis and the Playboys (“This Diamond Ring”) and The Alan Parsons Live Project (“Eye in the Sky”).

Many festival favorites are also returning this year, with daily gardening seminars taking place at the Festival Center, and Tinker Bell’s Butterfly House will again be all a flutter with color.

For more information about the 21st Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, call 407/W-DISNEY (934-7639). The festival, including all gardening programs and exhibits, is included in regular Epcot admission.

  • Checking again:
Is there a place where I can get a list and dates of preformers that will be at the flower power concert series?

  • How late will the outdoor kitchens serve food and beverages? This is our first time to Disney and we are VERY excited about everything this festival has to offer, including the outdoor kitchens 🙂

  • When will the Festival brochure be available online? Thanks.

  • Going to the festival for my birthday, can’t wait.

  • Will there be characters to meet at Tinker Bell’s Butterfly House?
Also, where will this be located in Epcot? Thanks

  • Is there a separate cost for the Outdoor Kitchens event?

  • Adding food to the festival was an amazingly awsome Idea we come every year now

  • Is there a place where I can get a list and dates of preformers that will be at the flower power concert series?

    • We hope to have this information soon, Wendy. Please keep checking back.

  • Are the outdoor kitchens included in your park admission? This is my first time during the festival!

    • Emily, similar to the Epcot International Food Festival, it’s up to you if you wish to purchase any of the food items. The kitchens will be located throughout World Showcase and you can browse or enjoy!

  • I personally loved the outdoor kitchens! I am so glad they are returning. I will be there from 2/27-3/9 so I am excited to experience the Flower and Garden Festival again!

  • I was hoping that the outdoor kitchens wouldn’t be a part of it this year. I really think it took away from the flower and garden festival (much smaller topiary displays).

I enjoy the food and wine festival and the flower and garden festival. 2 unique events, no need to blend the 2. Just my humble opinion.
