A few months ago, we told you about a new, interactive game for Disney California Adventure park guests. Each night, before “World of Color,” guests can log on to play the Fun Wheel Challenge on their mobile devices. Competing against other park guests to match the color patterns, the winner gets to control the lights on Mickey’s Fun Wheel! We recently spent the evening on Paradise Pier to check it out for ourselves. Come along with us!

So the next time you’re waiting to watch “World of Color,” just join the PierGames Wi-Fi network from your mobile device, play the game within your device’s web browser – there are no apps to download. This special Wi-Fi network is available 45 minutes before the start of the first “World of Color” show each evening.

Have you played (or won) the Fun Wheel Challenge? Tell us about it in the comments!

  • How fun! Can’t wait to play. And Erin LOVE your shirt… is it available in parks now?

    • Thanks, Kara! It’s one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I bought it some time ago and it is no longer available. But I checked with my friend, Michelle Harker, who told me you may be able to find some similar retro-fun shirts in our Disneyland Resort stores now.

  • We actually tested this at the D23 Expo. It was so fun!

  • Will there be a Halloween version of World of Color this year?

They did a Holiday version of the show last year in 2013. I hope they bring it back again come later this year. Also give Disneyland Resort annual passholders the opportunity too draw Christmas Cards for the show.

They do a 4th of July pre-show as well. I hope we get a full 4th of July version of the show this year as well instead. Also a New Years Countdown.

    • I don’t have any information on that right now, Brandon, but keep checking back!

  • This looks like so much fun!!! I can’t wait to try it on our upcoming trip to Disneyland!
