Just minutes ago, Walt Disney Imagineering released a new video of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train during our live chat with Imagineer Dave Minichiello – and we wanted to be sure you didn’t miss it.
In the video, we compare onboard footage of the attraction side-by-side with an original CGI onboard that was created early on in the attraction’s development.
Stay tuned for more updates on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

We’ll be visiting WDW in November, and this is the first ride we will visit–fast pass+ definitely! Can’t wait!
Coming in early may do you think it will be open by then?
Please let us know when they announce an opening date, and if it will be included in advance fast pass reservations.
looks like soooo much fun. Can’t wait. Hope is open end of March going for my birthday and would be a great present to ride it.
Looks fabulous…but the movie is only over a minute…is the ride that quick? How long is the ride?
Looks great! I suspect it will have a fast pass option. We are coming in June with our grandson and staying at Saratoga. When should we request fast passes under the new system?
It would be nice if there was a email alert so we could know the opening date when it is announced. We will be arriving the 5th of April and leaving the 13th.
working in Fantasyland I have practically seen this roller coaster being built from the ground up so this video is super exciting I am so excited for this to open it looks amazing from the outside and can’t wait to ride it. 😀
Me, too!
The amazing views of the Castle we will have coming in and out the tunnels cant wait to experience both day and night!
I agree!
looks fun, just wish the “live” feed was down during the day to get a better comparison.
My wife and I will be there celebrating our one-year anniversary and her graduating from medical school in early-mid April. Hopefully it is open by then!!
An early congrats to her! Stay tuned for info on the opening!
I’m so excited to see this preview, especially the stunning views! I can only imagine what it will be like after the Disney Magic is added! I’m curious if the Evil Queen will be making an appearance!
I know there is not a date yet, but do we at least have a month?
Does this qualify as an excuse for keeping the kids out of school and going to MK instead? I love be able to drive an hour to WDW.
I volunteer myself and kids to be test riders. My kids have that Disney 411 and 365 stuff down!
Dear Jennifer Fickley-Baker…. I sure hope the mine train will be opening soon, it is sure to be a delightful edition to the Magic Kingdom! I can’t wait til you post “Mine Train is Offically Open”
!!!!!!
I can’t wait to share that post, too, Katie!
I love the way it looks at night- my favorite thing is to ride Big Thunder at night and see how gorgeous the park is- love that there will be another coaster to do this on!!! visiting MK next week but will be back in September to ride it!!
Me too! This will offer great views of the park!
Celebrating our 10 year anniversary at WDW in May; here’s hoping it’ll be on track (excuse the pun) and rolling by then!
Best wishes for a happy celebration!
Is this similar to Big Thunder Mountain? We come with a friend in a wheelchair and she can’t use her legs to step down, up , over, into, across or anything other than to transfer laterally from her chair. She could ride if we could get her on without having to lift her which is very awkward and uncomfortable for her. We love the rides where she can stay in her chair but roller coasters don’t usually fit that.
I’m like Lisa – Hoping it will be open early March – pretty please?
This one looks like a great one to ride at night! The lights are so pretty!
I agree! Looks like it will be fun to ride at night and during the day for the great views. We hope to have more information on opening shortly.
This is exciting! We’ll be there in October, so it will be open at that time…
Is there an opening date set yet? We are going the week of March 8-15, 2014 and would love this to be open.
The attraction opens this spring, but an exact date has yet to be announced. Please keep checking back.
So excited!!!
Hi, we’ll be at Disney World next year (2015). My oldest one will be 3 years old by then. Will she be able to ride the Seven Dwarfs mine train?? She really loves Snow White and the Heigh-ho song!
As long as she meets the height requirement of 38 inches. 🙂
Happy, Happy, Happy to see a new ride. Can’t wait.
That’s great to hear!
Looks great! Can’t wait to ride during our vacation in May!
🙂
Will this ride have music (as I imagine)?
Of course! Stay tuned for more on this.
Wow. I reckon we’ll have to go back again this year for this ride.
If you need test riders, give us a shout! Anytime, any day we will come over from the coast to give the new ride w try 🙂
Looks fun! Hope there will be some passholder previews!!
What is the height requirement set at for this ride?
It is 38 inches.
It’s looking great! A reason I’ll want to visit the East Coast park.
That previz is scary accurate. 😀
