Walking through New Fantasyland and watching the evolution of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has been fascinating, seeing such a large attraction rise up from scaffolding and into a beautiful mountain covered with lush trees and colorful wildflowers. Let’s take a quick photo walk around it today with these shots.
Earlier this year, Walt Disney Imagineering shared that two props from the former Snow White’s Scary Adventures attraction had been placed in Seven Dwarfs Mine Train as a nod to the previous attraction. Those vultures can now be seen at the top of the first big “climb” in the attraction, surrounded by stacks of crates – containing newly mined jewels, perhaps?
Nearby, a Mine Train cart peeks out and is propped with mining tools and crumbling rock.
Overall, nearly the entire mountain has been covered with thick pine trees, poppy flowers and colorful shrubs.

Last year we were able to see construction commencing on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. We have a 3-year old daughter, and we took to ride on the Barnstormer last trip. And, poor thing was crying like crazy when we went down the first drop. She did not stop crying until got off the ride. We will be returning in September of this year. Our daughter will be 4 years old when we do return. Will the carts for the Seven Dwarfs mine train move as fast as the Barnstormer? Thanks for any information. Have a Magical Day!!!
We can’t wait to get there on June 1. However, I just called Disney Travel to make our family’s Fastpass+ reservations and they told us that the Seven Dwarf Mine Train is now delayed until late summer. That the Fastpass+ system would have it at least 60-days before the ride opens. Please tell us that they are still opening in Spring? Spring ends soon.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will be available for FastPass+ as soon as the opening date is announced.
Saw the vultures up there this past week. Excited to ride it next time. There is always something new at WDW!
🙂
I’m hoping that Snow White will get a meet-and-greet spot near the mine train since Ariel and Belle have their own.
We are here until April 15th and do hope that the ride will be open before we leave or I might turn “Grumpy”.
My sister in might turn Grumpy too as she loves the seven dwarfs
Here’s hoping for some good news soon
Wow really looks marvelous! Our WDW first timer will be next October. I certainly hope that the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will be up and running by that time 🙂
Jealous of WDW only because of this ride… though I wouldn’t sacrifice Snow White’s Scary Adventure, love the Fantasyland Dark Rides at DL 🙂 Would love to see them add this one to DL one day!
Yesterday I saw a few of the carts running; the tracks must be complete. I’m so excited for it to open!
What you’re seeing is testing. Imagineers run the cars for several different kinds of tests throughout the construction process.
We’re planning our trip for early May so I am very hopeful. I’ve never been to the Magic Kingdom before so I’m having a hard time visualizing were it is related to the other things in Fantasyland. Across from the Little Mermaid stuff?
Debra – Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is located in New Fantasyland, just opposite Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh (it’s a very wide attraction). If you walk around the left side of Mine Train, you’ll find Enchanted Tales With Belle and Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid.
Wow! I can see changes just in comparing these shots to the pictures I took when we where there two weeks ago. Not much longer now.
Yes – it seems that they make more progress every day!
I cannot wait to ride/see this attraction in person!
It’s amazing, Adam. It’s a real visual treat.
More tempting photos of this stunning attraction. You’ve got me looking up Walt Disney World packages right now!
I just can’t wait to experience the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!
Thank you,
Jackie
