Our friends at Walt Disney Imagineering just shared with us some amazing images from the top of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park. These photos offer up the first look at what the view will be from atop the newest Disney “mountain” – what a gorgeous sight!

This first photo overlooks Beast’s Castle and the Belle’s Village section of New Fantasyland.

This shot was taken in the direction of the castle wall, Cinderella Castle, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and Pinocchio’s Village Haus. (You can also see a bit of the construction that’s still going on in this photo).

In addition to these sights, the Imagineers tell us that guests will also get a great view of Prince Eric’s Castle and Storybook Circus during their ride around the mine.

Seven Dwarf Mine Train will open to guests later this spring. Be sure to keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for more information.

  • Can’t wait for this one to open!

  • Can’t wait to go this summer. The animation looked great. keep us updated. Thanks!

  • What’s with the crane over at Cinderella Castle and the other one in the far distance beyond Fantasy Land?

  • Oh my gosh!! Please give an opening date!! We will be there Apr 18-23….soooo anxious to know 🙂

    • As soon as we know, I’ll post it here!

  • Any chance the Mine Ride will be open within the next week? It´s my anniversary!!!

  • Kathy – the handrails should be for exiting the ride in case something happens if they were near the train tracks – if not then it will be for cast members for keeping everything pretty (if they aren’t taken down)

Lesley – if you arrived during lunch time then you could had gone into Beast Castle for lunch but after 3 you have to reserve – it was a long wait when we went so didn’t go but it is on the list of things I want to do

Just wishing I had time off to go back to WDW (& the money)

  • spent 4 days at disney this feb with 2 at magical kingdom, was so excited to see the new fantsyland i was told you cannot go inside to see the castle unless reservations for dinner 🙁 The dwarfs rollercoaster was not yet open but looks very cute. I love disney with all my heart and become a kid everytime .I was just a little disappointed with this new part because we could not go up to the castle and I did ask 2 different employees. I did get to participate in Belles story which was great cause my grandaughter is such a belle fan and she was not with us so it made me feel close and she was so excited that I got to meet her. The photos I took of the castle are beautiful i hope they have a place in the future for photo opportunites with belle gaston the beast snow white ariel etc. As i did not see any, but I may have missed them. I will give high regards to disney they are so well organized and on top of everything its “the most magical place on earth” I will be back.

  • I am going the same first week of May…what is a media preview?

  • Our family was in the parks just last week, and really loved the new Fantasyland! Beast’s castle is exquisite! It was fun to see them “weight testing” the new Snow White Mine ride, with what looked like stacks of round weights on a pole in each seat. We are disappointed to miss the ride opening, but we know it will be there next time we come!

Will guests be able to actually walk up to the top of the Snow White mine ride hill? We saw what appeared to be metal handrails at the top, but I assumed it might only be accessible to cast members working on the ride or something. These view pictures are lovely! Fun to see them!

  • Was really hoping this would be open for my 5 day birthday trip May 1-5, 2014. It doesn’t seem like that is going to happen now since the media preview is during that time. Hoping it’s not crazy busy there for my trip now! I am an annual passholder, so hoping I can get some kind of preview, too! 🙂

  • Any chance the Mine Ride will be open within the next couple of weeks?

    • It’s on track for a spring opening – we hope to have a date to share with everyone soon!

  • Great share! I am jealous!! Just waiting on the soft opening.

  • I love seeing the Beast’s castle from the Astro Orbiter, but this view looks even better!

    • Yes! The view from Big Thunder (especially during fireworks) has always been my favorite, but this one will be amazing both day and night!
