“Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade,” the newest procession to make its way down Main Street, U.S.A., will debut at Magic Kingdom Park this Sunday, March 9.

The parade, which serves as a tribute to New Fantasyland, will feature nearly 100 performers telling the stories of “Frozen”, Brave”, “Peter Pan,” Sleeping Beauty,” and other Disney and Pixar films. Classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, of course, will also highlight parade floats, some of which will measure up to 26 feet tall and 90 feet long.

Which Disney character or float are you most excited to see in the new parade? Tell us in the “Comments” section below!

Comments

  • Wish we could have been there today to see it. Most excited to see Merida and her float on our next visit. Nice to see Disney updating their parade again every few years!

  • Loved it! I was lucky enough to have FP+ for this and all of the Imagineers who designed the parade were standing behind us for the opening day (about 10 of them). After it was all over we got to meet them and say thank you to them. It was a GREAT day!

    • Sounds great, Ethan!

  • Got to see the Parade on Sunday and loved it! Nice to see almost all of the Princesses there. Loved Rapunzel and Eugene!

    • Love “Tangled”!

  • It looks like Festival of Fantasy is available as a FP+ experience until March 31st but not afterwards. Whether that changes or not remains to be seen.

  • I see a comment above that a guest was able to use FP+ for parade viewing. When making our FP+ selections for upcoming visit in April I could not find parade or fireworks viewing as an option. Called Disney and was told this was no longer a FP+ option. Wondering how other guest were able to do so?

  • Perfect timing! We will be checking into Bay Lake Tower on Sunday 🙂 I’m looking forward to the Peter Pan float the most! Here we goooooooo!!!!

    • I hope you enjoy it, Sarah. 🙂

  • Yes John,…I agree! The ever elusive Dumbo would be ‘awesome’ to see! In fact, it was just mentioned by Banks Lee on “Attractions” weekly youTube blog that he ‘also’ would love to see Dumbo in the parade too!

I also love ‘all’ of the “Fantasia” characters as well…Hyancinth Hippo, Madame Upanova, Bacchus, Centaurettes, etc.

  • What time is the parade?

    • Usually 3 p.m., but check the Times Guide on the day of your visit – sometimes times fluctuate around the holidays.

  • Hope to see the elusive Dumbo.

  • I hope Donald Duck will be in it.

  • So nice of y’all to have this ready for our first day there! 🙂

    • I hope you enjoyed it, Laureen!

  • So excited! We did FP+ for this event on opening day so we have front row viewing with the castle in the background.

My 6-year-old daughter is going to dress up as Elsa and freak out when she sees her in the parade!

  • We are flying down from this snowy landscaped Wisconsin weather Sunday, hope to catch the parade Monday or Tuesday, can’t wait!

    • I hope you have a wonderful escape from the wintery weather AND love the new parade!

  • I cannot wait to see the Mickey and Minnie float (they’re my faves) but am also excited to see Peter Pan (another fave) as well as Elsa and Anna from Frozen (new faves)…and I’ll be able to see them all in just 6 days, 22 hours and 45 minutes from right now!!

  • We are beyond excited – Looking forward to the Maleficent Float and Elsa & Anna – Can’t Wait….

    • LOVE Elsa!

  • Cannot wait to see the Sleeping Beauty Dragon and cast members with it. Only 6 days till I am there.

    • That will be an amazing float!

  • Especially Merida, Elsa, and Anna…so stoked to see this! 15 days and counting!

    • Let the countdown begin!

  • Is all of it an option? I cannot wait to see the Sleeping Beauty dragon, Elsa & Anna, and The Little Mermaid float.

    • 🙂
