Our celebration of the 50th anniversary of “it’s a small world” continues today with a video performance from the children’s choir, Xin Yin, which is based in Shanghai.
The performance, which took place in the Shanghai Cultural Center, included the group singing the song “it’s a small world (after all)” in English and Mandarin Chinese.
You can join the attraction’s celebration by singing along and creating your own “it’s a small world” doll. Learn more at SmallWorld50.com.

Ironically China wasn’t added until the 1970’s ! Because in 1964 the United States didn’t recognize the People’s Republic of China but rather the Republic of China !
Considering the contexts in which they appeared, have to say it makes a lot more sense to see children’s choruses singing “It’s a Small World” than “Let It Go”. 🙂
One video may have gotten the idea from the other, but it’s still a cute song.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing “it’s a small world” and this delightful choir brings me back to my choral and instrumental music teaching days.
I will be sure to share this within my Social Media circles because it will make many people happy.
Thank you,
Jackie
