In February, I shared with you a first look at some merchandise coming to Disney Centerpiece, one of six boutiques coming to the Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney Marketplace in a couple of months. I was delighted to read that many of you enjoyed that first preview as much as I enjoyed sharing it. In addition to those awesome items, Disney Centerpiece will also feature a line of chalkboard art-inspired home goods. I spoke with Natalie Kennedy, senior graphic designer with Disney Design Group, who was responsible for creating this amazing artwork.

“Chalkboard artwork is a currently a popular market trend,” explained Natalie. “For our program, we selected iconic attractions at Disney Parks such as The Haunted Mansion or the Jungle Cruise. We also expanded the program to include items inspired by Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.” The latter artwork is a nice nod to New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park.”

A variety of monochromatic items will be included in this program including plates, drinkware, drink coasters and even napkins. I’m delighted, of course, to see more artwork featuring my favorite attraction, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room!

While these items will debut at Disney Centerpiece, guests will also find them at Disneyland Resort merchandise locations in a few months. The Disney Parks online store will also carry a few select items.

Comments

  • I’m a little late to comment on this post, but are all these things coming to the online disney store?

  • This merchandise is great, I love the grey stuff plate and it’s so nice to see haunted mansion things.

  • Will this merchandise be available at Disneyland Paris? I’m heading there later this year and I’d love to pick up a few pieces!

    • @Carlo – It looks like Disneyland Paris will not be carrying these items at this point. I’m sorry I don’t have better news. I hope you have a great trip … I’ve always wanted to go!

  • Love this chalkboard design. I’m going to have to visit this shop on my trip this fall. Good thing we are driving to WDW!

  • When can I buy this magical merchandise?!?!

    • @Jay – These items and more will be coming to the Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney Marketplace in a few months. Stay tuned!

  • I really love all the Adventureland themed merchandise. And The Grey Stuff plate. I can’t wait to see what else will be at this store. Tell them to make more cause they are on the right track.

  • This store is going to be dangerous for my budget.

    • @Patricia – Welcome to the club! I feel the same exact way. 🙂

  • These are outstanding! I can’t wait to see them in person.

  • Do we happen to know a more specific date as to when these will be available?

    • @Vanessa – All I know at this point is that the Marketplace Co-Op will be opening in a couple of months. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog as I will share that date as soon as I know.

  • Steven, I’ve noticed some these items are already available online (orange bird, coasters). Are these items available in the parks now too even though the store isn’t open yet?

Also, if they are available now, would you know the sku for the Adventureland (cloth?) placemats and pillows with the matching print from your previous post yet??

    Thanks!

    • @Jonathan – Unfortunately, the items are not physically at Disney Parks just yet. You probably have notice a sneak preview on our Disney Parks online store. I would keep watching the New Arrivals section as you may see a few more items before the Marketplace Co-Op officially opens (a date I don’t have just yet):

At this point, I don’t have any specific item numbers for the items pictured since they have been released in Disney Parks.
