Over the weekend, hundreds of Disney Parks Blog readers gathered for a sneak preview of “Planes: Fire & Rescue” at AMC Downtown Disney 24 at Walt Disney World Resort.
In addition to seeing the film, which tells the story of a crew of elite firefighting aircrafts who protect the historic Piston Peak National Park from wildfires, our guests also heard some “making-of” details from Producer Ferrell Barron and Director/Co-Writer Roberts “Bobs” Gannaway.
“Planes: Fire & Rescue” will open in theaters on July 18, 2014.
Be sure to check out our recap of the event in the video below.

Thank you so much! We had a great time at the meet up and really loved Dusty’s new adventure!
P.S. The popcorn at the AMC Theater was the best movie popcorn ever!
Thanks for hosting us. Great movie and nice addition to the franchise. Lots of good day-to-day lessons to use too (as we used on Sunday). The kid in the fire truck at the end is adorable….oh wait, that’s mine!
From the other Fred from CA,
How about a meetup in the Disneyland Resort AMC theatres! My family would love to see the preview
Thank you Disney Parks Blog for the opportunity to watch this film! My fiancee and I both love this movie, and think it was better than the first one. Which is a huge praise, since we both think the first was a great movie!
Thank you for doing this Disney! Our family had a blast at this and we hope that you keep doing these for upcoming movies.
Thanks, Ethan. I’m happy you had a good time.
I wasn’t there, but it looks like it was a fun event! I’m looking forward to seeing the film. I really enjoy the Cars and Planes movies.
