Armando – no as long as you are not planning to spend the entire day at Disneyland. The Mickey’s Halloween Party ticket allows entry into Disneyland three hours before the event, and for the event. My advice – sleep in. Eat a hearty meal. And then dress up and go to Disneyland three hours before the party starts.
When you buy Mickey’s Halloween Party tickets do you still have to buy a regular admission ticket as well?
Can it be ANY Disney visa or HAS to be REWARDS Disney visa??
I got through just a little while ago. Was able to purchase 8 tickets with my Disney Visa card. Pretty painless. I was informed that these tickets would get me into the park at 2:30pm on the day I chose so I am going from a 5-day park hopper that week to a 4-day.
I got the ticket over the phone. Finally.
I just got through and purchased my tickets with no problems. I was able to use my Disney dream dollars as well! they have been extremely busy and are experiencing a high call volume. Just be patient, I am so excited to be going!
I called and was told their system was down. They took my info and will call me back when the system is up again. I confirmed that they do sell to Disney Rewards Visa cardholders today and that the ticket limit is 8.
Disney Rewards Cardholders have to buy over the phone and their systems are down. I’m on my 3rd round of holding. First time was 30 minutes, second was 16 minutes, and now my third is 28 minutes and counting. Each time I ask if the system is back up and if it isn’t then I have to hang up, call back, and sit on hold.
Update as I was typing this…THEY ARE BACK UP!
I am also currently on hold with the Disneyland guest services trying to find out what is up. My guess is they had no idea so many people would be trying to buy tickets this morning and we crashed them out. I have been on -hold 10 minutes now. I called 1-714-781-4565. If I get threw I will report back.
I am having the same problem as the other Disney Visa Cardholders.
I can’t buy them either, with my Disney Visa 🙁
Have any of the Disney Rewards Cardholders had any luck finding out how to purchase advance tickets?
No luck on my end, but please report back when you find out. I’m trying to get the chat feature to pop up..
It is now July 16th. I logged into the Chase Disney Rewards site to find the tickets for Mickey’s Halloween Party and I see…. nothing.
Hi Erin,
I’m a Disney Rewards Visa Cardholder as well and am having the same issue as Steve. Is there a phone number to call to order tickets?
Thanks,
Jenna
Has any of the Visa Card holders found a way to buy them early? I can’t find anything to click on for tickets. I am sitting on hold with them trying to find out but it is a long hold time!
Hi Erin,
I’m a Disney Rewards Visa Cardholder, and I see in the blog that tickets would on presale for members, but when I go to the Disneyland site they only offer pre-sale for annual pass holders. Where can the rewards members go to get tickets?
Hi Erin, I would really like to know what time tomorrow the tickets go on sale for annual passholders.
Is there a discount for annual pass holders???
hi erin and i was wondering if i have to buy tickets if i already have Deluxe Annual Passport til feb 2015 and can i use the ticket that i have or do i have to buy tickets for the halloween party?
Hi Erin, it says a ticket to Mickey’s Halloween Party allows admission up to 3 hours prior to the event start time. Does that means that we can get into the park at 4PM if the event time is listed as 7PM to midnight for October 31st?
Thanks Erin! I don’t mean to be a pest, but I seriously don’t see anything about how to order. I see the dates, and the prices for the dates, but not how to order. Since the presale is one week away, I just wanted to have all of the info ready…I am getting old!! thanks again.
Sorry, one more question. How will these be ordered?? I don’t see a number to call, or online?? Or do they release the how to order info at a later date?
Lorna – The ticket site (click here) will have information on how to order when the tickets go on sale. Please see the sale dates listed in the post.
We are planning a trip at the end of October, and really want to get these tickets(my husband and I are AP holders). The tricky thing is, my son is in the Navy. While he has put in his request for the time off, we won’t know until after the presale starts whether or not his time off will be approved. So, if I buy these tickets hoping he and his fiancée will be there, if they are not, can I give them/sell them to someone else? or are the tickets person specific? I have many friends with AP’s, so finding someone who’d want them won’t be hard…
Thanks for any info…
We attended a Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland last year and totally recommend it. Our 5 1/2 year old granddaughter loved it. I would totally recommend if you are going with young kids, that you go on a non-weekend evening. We went on a Monday and it was less crowded. We saw the crowd going into a Friday night party. A lot of teens going in without parents around. They looked very rowdy. Monday was very laid-back. You still have all the events/parades/fireworks. Disney has this down to a science and it’s very orderly, at least it was on Monday night. Last year I watched the Halloween page for my updates on when to buy. As a Visa card holder, I called the number provided on the day they listed for Annual Pass holders/Disney Visa Card people. Was easy to get the tickets for the day we wanted…
We are coming on Oct 27th for our Honeymoon… We can enter the park at 3pm with our Halloween ticket correct? How do they distinguish between regular park guest and Halloween Guest?
Hi! I was curious about where you can purchase tickets as a Disney Rewards Visa holder? I don’t see anything about it on the site – only a reference to AP holders. Can you please clarify how we can get tickets on July 16th instead?
Does anyone know what time the tickets go on sale on 7/16? Can I purchase at midnight or is there a specific time?
Does anyone happen to know what the cost would be for an AP holder? We are planning a family vacation with my sister in laws and their families and trying to get a price for AP holder. Thanks we are going Oct. 30th – Nov 2nd (I know it its going to be crazy busy but thats when we can all go.
Oh now i’m excited! 🙂
So Disneyland closes early for 14 days for this party?
I have the same question as David, re: Space Mountain. We’ll be there the 14th – 20th and are really hoping to not have to miss out on Space Mountain/Ghost Galaxy!
Hello again…one more quick question…and THANK YOU for being so accessible and willing to answer our questions.
The official site now lists the prices and dates but doesn’t say anything about Disney Visa Rewards members. Will that be on a separate site?
Thanks again,
Brad
Do you have information on exactly when Ghost Galaxy will begin and end (and how many days before and after Space Mountain will be closed)?
Will the tickets for the Happy Haunts tour also go onsale for passholders on the 16th? I know they have a combo ticket that includes both Halloween Party and Happy Haunts Tour (or at least they did last year) and just wanna make sure I don’t miss it this year! Thanks.

Erin may be able to pop back in and answer, but I wanted to clear up the confusion. Halloween Time — which is the name of the Halloween season at Disneyland Resort – begins on 9/12. Last year it began on 9/13. It always starts somewhere around mid-September-ish.
Mickey’s Halloween Party, which is the separate, hard ticket Halloween event on the nights listed in Erin’s blog above, usually starts about 2 weeks after Halloween Time begins. This year it starts on 9/26.
Everything is pretty much following the same Halloween Time and Mickey’s Halloween Party patterns that have been in place for the last few years, except that there are more party nights now than there used to be.
Perfectly stated, Sherry! Thanks!
Hi Erin – I’m a tad bit confused as the heading of the article says “September 12-October 14” but the first event isn’t listed until the 26th.
If the events truly don’t start until the 26th, I’ll be so disappointed as we’ve already booked a trip in mid Sept (based on past years dates) to enjoy the halloween party.
Sherry is correct, Amanda. Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort (our annual, seasonal celebration that is open to all guests with regular park admission)begins September 12. Mickey’s Halloween Party is a separate, ticketed event that occurs during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort.
Great…thank you both for the info. We have a party of 14 but I assume that if I buy 8, 4 of those can be given to my sister and her family. No name attached, correct?
What will the hours be for the event? I have a reservation at Liberty Tree for a large party at 5:30 pm on Friday 10/24. If I’m not going to be able to be in the park, I need to know so that I can make another dining reservation somewhere else.
John – To clarify, this post concerns Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland park. For information on Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park, click here.
Brad —
I’m not sure if it will still be applicable this year, but in previous years there was text somewhere on the MHP page that said: “Limit eight (8) tickets per Annual Passholder, per event date.” I would imagine that the same limit applied to Disney Rewards Visa card holders and Disney Vacation Club members too.
Hi Erin,
Are ticket pricing for Mickey’s Halloween Party available yet?
Thank you.
Mickey’s Halloween Party on my actual birthday?? That works for me!
Hi Erin…Or anyone else who might have this info: Do you know if there is a ticket purchase limit for the presale? We have a LARGE family going.
Thanks!!
Hi Brad – Sherry is correct; there will be a limit of eight (8) tickets per person, per event date.
I CAN”T WAIT!!! 😀 My favorite time of year at my favorite place on earth.
Eric —
The dates Erin posted above are for Mickey’s Halloween Party (and the Halloween Time season) at the Disneyland Resort, not for the parties at Walt Disney World.
Think you posted an incomplete list of dates–I’ve already got my ticket for Sept. 16th. 🙂
So excited to go again this year! Love the holidays at Disneyland <3 The trick or treat party is one of our families favorites!
Thank you so much for posting this information, Erin! The questions about the MHP dates and when they would be announced have been regularly coming in for the last couple of months. I know that this news will put a lot of minds at ease!
Perfect! This will be my first year going for Halloween and I will definitely have to go to one of the parties! Can’t wait 🙂
Thanks Erin! We have been waiting for this! Are there plans to hold the Mickeys Toontown pre-party again this year? It was the highlight of last year, and we are crossing fingers for it to repeat!
