Adventures in St. Lucia with Disney Cruise Line

The Pitons (Petite Piton, right, and Gros Piton) Soufriere, St. Lucia

The dramatic Piton volcanic peaks, a famous symbol of St. Lucia, make this island one of the most stunning destinations in the Caribbean. Our call on Castries, the island’s capital, is the second stop of our 7-night Southern Caribbean cruises from San Juan this fall and the starting point for countless adventures! Whether you’re into snorkeling, biking, hiking or just relaxing with beautiful views, you’ll be in paradise on St. Lucia.

Soufriere, St. Lucia The Pitons (Gros Piton, right, and Petite Piton) Soufriere, St. Lucia

Snorkel Beneath The Pitons – Those of you who want a chance to see the majestic Pitons will love this tour! It includes the perfect photo vantage point of the volcanic peaks from a cruise down the coast, plus time to relax and snorkel at the world-famous Sugar Beach located between Gros Piton and Petit Piton. Your journey along the island’s picturesque west coast on a powerboat is part of the fun of this adventure, and provides views of Marigot Bay and Soufrière Bay. If you want to add a little shopping and luxury to your experience, hop on the Cruise To The Pitons tour, which includes a stop at the shopping village of Marigot Bay.

Sulfur Springs Waterfall

Tropical Waterfall Experience – This excursion combines visits to three spectacular destinations – volcanic springs, a historic estate, and a cascading waterfall. Starting at Sulphur Springs, you’ll be amazed at the bubbling mud pots of the only drive-in volcano in the world. Next up, you’ll head to the Morne Coubaril Estate, a plantation full of history, culture, gorgeous gardens and a sugar cane mill. Your final stop is for a dip into a pool of fresh mountain spring water under the 50-foot Toraille Waterfall.

Pigeon Island Sea Trek Pigeon Island Sea Trek

Sea Trek Helmet Diving At Pigeon Island – Pigeon Island, a national park and historic site with numerous forts, is a great landscape for hiking and breathtaking views. On this family-friendly excursion, you’ll have time to explore the park from both above and below the water. A special Sea Trek adventure, a unique helmet diving experience where you don’t even have to get your hair wet, gives you the chance to walk the ocean floor for an up-close encounter with tropical fish and marine life. The Snuba Adventure is another great options for families who prefer a traditional mask instead of the helmet.

Stay tuned for my suggestions of what to do in Grenada, coming up next week. And remember, when the ship’s in port, venture ashore!
