One of my fondest memories of visiting Epcot for the first time in the 1980s was this attraction, the Universe of Energy. I was mystified by these towering dinosaurs who look so unbelievably lifelike and watched us with curiosity as our ride vehicle passed by.

The attraction opened with the park in 1982 – which means these guys have been snacking on plantlife for more than three decades. What do they think of all the guests who pass by with delicious Disney Parks treats? You tell us – go ahead and “Caption This!”

  • I have a sore throat, Doc

  • Oh Todd grab your camera Mickey’s coming…I love the Garden Grill.

  • If only I had a stomach full of Ice Cream of Extinction.

  • They can`t see us if we don`t move.

  • Pardon me, Do you have any Grey Poupon?

  • You know, I could really use some 1000 Island dressing with this salad.

  • “…and oh yea, is there a Starbucks nearby?”

  • “I know, I never tire of seeing you either…” 🙂

  • Now, remember, if you start hearing the fast part of “Rite of Spring”, clear out! That darned T-Rex is likely to show up.

  • 30 years I have been eating my greens. You would think someone would pass me a Dole whip by now!

  • “Hey, Ed…y’ever wonder….where do you wanna be in two million years?”

    • Disney is a pretty good place!

  • Look, I tried telling them that the idea that large sauropods lived in swamps and ate with our necks bent upwards was pretty much discredited when we got here, but 30 years later, have they done anyting about it? No.

  • “All of the food grown in our greenhouses here is served to guests and audio-animatronic dinosaurs right here in Epcot!”

  • “I will love him and pet him and call him George….”

  • I’m pretty sure this stuff was grown over at The Land.

  • Have I been chewing with my mouth open again?

  • Hmm, I didn’t check if this was covered under my Dining Plan.

  • Is this considered a table service or counter service on the dinning plan.

    • Hee hee.

  • All this time working for Disney World and no one brings us Mickey waffles for breakfast!

  • Psst! Hey, you in the red cap! Are you going to finish that turkey leg??

  • I need to get to the Coca-Cola cooling station…I haven’t been able to get this grass down for years.

  • Once, just once I’d like to take a nap.

  • Do I have something in my teeth?

  • Nom Nom Nom

  • If I were carnivore, I would bite the head of that guy who is napping.

  • “If only we lasted 65 million years later. That School Bread from Norway and Salted Caramel from Karamell-Küche would so be OURS!”

  • “So, you couldn’t get a FastPass for Test Track either, huh?”

…also, I’m pretty sure food and drinks must be finished before enjoying a ride on this attraction, so these dinos should not be seeing *any* Disney Parks treats 😉

  • Hey you! Yes, you in the mobile theater! WAKE UP!

  • Those Turkey Legs look good. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t a herbivore.

  • “This Vegan option is great!”

    • 🙂
