Today, we have news about some updates coming to World Showcase at Epcot. One of the best parts of the World Showcase experience is feeling fully immersed in the culture of each country, and the live entertainment presented in the international pavilions plays a large role in creating that atmosphere. Beginning this fall, we will be refreshing the atmosphere entertainment around World Showcase with the addition of new acts and enhancements to some existing performances.
New experiences debuting over the next several months will contribute to the rich mix of entertainment at Epcot, and provide fresh experiences for our guests. In the near future, you can look forward to enjoying a traditional Berber music and dance troupe in Morocco, a corps of dynamic flag-waving performers in Italy, a thrilling lumberjack-inspired show in Canada, a Celtic folk music ensemble at the United Kingdom, and more.
As we embark on this enhancement of World Showcase entertainment, we bid a fond farewell to Mo’Rockin’, Off Kilter, Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps and World Showcase Players. We thank these performers for all they’ve done to make the Epcot guest experience enjoyable and memorable, and we invite you to come out and see them in their farewell performances over the next few weeks.
More details will be shared, as they become available, about the timing of certain transitions, as well as each of the exciting new entertainment additions coming to World Showcase.

I was at all of Off Kilter’s sets on their final day (27 September 2014). The crowd was huge! It stretched from Canada to the UK and packed tight. People came from all over the country just to see the band one last time. They clapped, cheered, and sang along. One couple with ‘First Time Visitors’ badges were overheard saying they thought the act was worth the cost of admission by itself. I tend to agree, and Off Kilter was the main reason I splurged for an annual pass. The act never got stale, and I returned again and again just to see them perform. I still can’t understand why Disney decided to retire them after 17 years. It makes no sense at all to me.
I’m always excited for new entertainment and new things. Super upset about Off Kilter. I have very fond memories of going back and forth between Canada and the UK watching the bands the entire day. Off Kilter was my favorite of all of them. I’m glad I got to experience them for the time they were there. Extremely bummed, but excited about the new additions. Hope Off Kilter can come back and perform for special events or something, it would be a shame to wipe them completely from World Showcase.
Here are the merchandise events for Disneyland for the month of September. This information is from Michelle Harker, Manager, Merchandise Marketing & Communications, Disneyland Resort and the Disney Parks Blog. Just wait until you see what merchandise events we have headed your way this September at the United Kingdom Resort!
Shawn, any chance you could answer the question about Jamie and the band lineup asked in comments 52 and 71? Will all the core band be playing the 26 and 27th shows? Thanks!
Hi:
While I *Reeeealy* hate to see Off Kilter go I wouldn’t be surprised if the band is OK with it. It’s been a long time. They might be looking forward to stretching their wings.
I’m thinking of flying down from Ohio to catch the last shows. Yes, I like them that much. But I’ve been disappointed in the past when Jamie has had a day off and they performed without him.
Will they *all* be playing at the Sept 26 + 27th shows?
No Off Kilter leaves a big hole in my twice a year Disney vacation and a lumberjack show sure isn’t going to fill it. Thank you Mark and Randy and Jamie and Scotty and Jason for all the great music
and the laughs. You will be missed.
sad to hear Off Kilter go, but it was a good long run 🙂 one of the first cds i ever owned! shame i’m going to disney mere days after their last performance!!
Shawn, I am unable to find set times for British Revolution at the end of October. Is it a certainty that they are staying? If so, why am I unable to find set times? My touring plans revolve around British Revolution (no pun intended!).
Wow! this is exciting news! I’m looking forward to it.
But I am sad to see The Fife & Drum Corps go. I will miss them. What will replace them?
Shawn, I’m saddened to hear Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps is being discontinued. In your list of new entertainment, I don’t see anything replacing this patriotic American display. What is going into the American Pavilion? If nothing at this time, could you please elaborate on why this show is being discontinued?
I have to say I am deeply saddened and kind of disappointed to see the Fife and Drum disappear. I only got to see them for the first time in may 2013 and loved them. I loved them soo much I had to make sure my entire family saw them perform during my last trip this past february. My heart swells for this type of time-honored traditional american showcase and I’m a 29 year old canadian. I sincerely hope this is rethought, as they delight all who witness their performance. This type of entertainment and homage to american past will never go out of style or be overlooked. Everything about it is patriotic and genuine. Please, don’t lose abandon this gem.
Awww, I love the fife and drum players!
Will you have a another colonial style group???
Please say yes!
They have the best:
1. costumes
2. cheery sound
Plus they’re patriotic!
I’m am very sad to hear about these changes coming to Epcot. Two of my favorite acts leaving, Off Kilter and the Fife and Drum Corps, makes me sad. One of my favorite Disney memories was getting a beer with my Dad and watching Off Kilter. As much as I love Disney music, it was refreshing to have a different sound throughout the park, a sound that we were able to enjoy together. And the Fife and Drum is a quintessential representation of American history, going back to the founding of our county. These will all be truly missed.
Love Off Kilter and Fife and Drum (esp. since fife and drummers are a big part of our country’s history). Not a fan of these changes.
I am very sad to see OffKilter will no longer be at Epcot. My number one attraction when I am in the park. They will be missed and I hope you reconsider your decision.
Feelings are the same for the World Showcase Players. Lots of warm memories!
I’ll miss my regular quest for the Holy Grail. (rubbish!)Hoped that someday I’d have a chance to be Arthur (long live the king!).
Now if the Voices are removed from the American Adventure, that’s a different story – the masses will march!
I’m looking forward to the new entertainment! I love Epcot! Will there be more character meet and greets? I’ve had such great luck discovering characters that I’ve not had the opportunity to get a photo with while at Epcot! Congratulatory Grins on the new shows!
DISLIKE this news VERY much! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Off Kilter and the Spirit of America Drum and Fife. Cannot believe they will not be there for our trip in Oct. :'( I understand everything cannot remain the same forever but how can they take out the Drum and Fife…Really hope they keep with the American theme and keep it historical and patriotic.
I see I’m not alone in being heartbroken over Off Kilter being removed. For me (in fact, for most of the Disney fans I know), they rank as one of the top 5 reasons to visit Epcot. World Showcase Players leaving is also a disappointment.
I hope all the performers in both groups know how much we’ve appreciated them over the years, and how much we’ll miss them.
11 years I have been watching Off Kilter, a must see in the 2 weeks of a year we are over here from England. I was lucky, as tonight is our last night and I got to go to Epcot and see the guys one last time and thank them. I also called in at guest services and expressed my disappointment at this decision, Off Kilter are part of Epcot and should stay.
My last day there will be Off Kilter’s last day also. How sad. Will definitely make a stop there. 🙁
spirit of America Gone? wow… sad day
For the Rovin’ dies hard. I will miss Off Kilter.
Any word if Jamie will be finishing off the gigs with the rest of Off Kilter? I know he’s not always there. I want to make it down to see them one more time. They have always been my favorite part of Epcot! So sad they are leaving.
EPCOT will never be the same for me without Off Kilter. 🙁 I’m sorry they will be gone before our next visit.
