When Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to Magic Kingdom Park September 1, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom fans are in for an additional party “treat” – the chance to pick up another event-exclusive game card.

In case you’re a Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom newbie, SOTMK is an in-park interactive experience that allows guests join Merlin in a quest to defeat a team of Disney villains who are scheming to take over the park. Guests use maps to search for villain’s lairs throughout the park. When they find a magic portal, guests use spell cards that each feature a different magical power to foil a villain’s plan. This complimentary experience begins in the Firehouse on Main Street, U.S.A., where you can pick up everything you need to join in the fun.

This year’s special event card features the Helmsman pirate from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

The Pirate Helmsman’s Bombardment card will be distributed in addition to the regular Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card packs (yes, you can still pick up both while attending the party). Guests must show their party ticket and event wristband in order to get one.

Can’t wait to test this card out? Share your excitement in the comments section below!

  • Not a “Master Sorcerer”….but still anxiously awaiting word if there will be a Christmas Party card!

  • Us master sorcerers are getting nervous that the xmas card hasn’t been announced. Even if you can’t reveal the card, can you set our minds at rest that there will definitely be a card for the party. Hoping you guys are just waiting for Halloween to pass before making the annoucement

  • Anxiously awaiting word on if there will be a Christmas card, too!! We just started SoMK in early October, so hoping it isn’t going by the wayside. 🙂

  • When are we going to know what the Christmas card is?

  • Is this for Disney World or Disneyland?

  • @Janis, You should receive a wristband anyway when you come into the park for the party, and I’m sure that they have a way to check your Magic Band for your MNSSHP ticket.

  • Question about this statement: Guests must show their party ticket and event wristband in order to get one.

What about those of us who order our MNSSHP admission online …..I presumed we would use our Magic Bands for entry, but does this mean we now won’t be able to get the pack because we don’t have a physical ticket??

  • What a great game and thank you all at Disney for printing new and fun SOTMK specialty cards. Jennifer do you know if the Disney folks are considering printing a new set of SOTMK cards in the near future? Thanks.

  • OMG! I thought i was giddy and excited before. this is ace! i love SOTMK and i always get the MNSSHP card. I will be there in early October and that will be my first stop on my party night

  • This card looks really good. Will you be posting a larger version of the card like you did for Donald’s Nephews?

  • If we have three MNSSHP tickets/whristbands, can we get 3 cards?

    • I assume you mean you have a party of three – yes, each person can get their own card, they just need to show their party ticket.

  • okay now, we definitely have to move to Florida, this once a year trip we go on – not enough – we are missing out on a LOT of FUN stuff!!

    • 🙂

  • If I go to Magic Kingdom starting September 1 and get a regular card pack you get from playing, then it will have The Pirate Helmsman’s Bombardment card?

    • The Pirate Helmsman’s Bombardment card will be given out during the party only – and it will be given out IN ADDITION TO the normal pack you get when you play.

  • Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom should expand to Disneyland California

  • Haven’t played SotMK yet, but I’ll be there for the party, and my old VMK side still lives for park-exclusive cards. 🙂
(Btw, I assume that’s an OPEN bony fist he’s thrusting at us? Yeah, back at’cha, dude…)

  • Woohoo! Going this year and can’t wait! Fantastic to know, thanks guys!

  • Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is such a fun game that my son, with autism enjoyed immensely last summer. Disney Moms Parks Panelist Kirsten gave me great tips and advice with this game which made our playing even more fun!

    Thank you,

    • 🙂
