  • Hello, are Christmas decorations still up on January 06?

  • Will there be snow on Main Street this year?!

  • I’m so excited for the WOC Winter Dreams! The one and only night we were able to see it last year, they shut it down about ten minutes into the show, due to the wind. Everything went dark. Fireworks were also cancelled. I’m so glad it’s returning !!

  • Do you know if the format for the World of Color – Winter Dreams show will be the same as last year? Will “Glow” be a part of that with the honor choir?

    • The “World of Color” Honor Choir will not be part of this year’s show.

  • Great news! Viva Navidad and World of Color – Winter Dreams are spectacular. I’ve celebrated the holidays at both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort, and these two shows are among the finest I’ve seen at the parks.

  • I’m so excited to see information about Christmas in the Parks, we’ll be there! Will the Jingle Cruise be back again this year, 2014? I sure hope so, we haven’t seen it yet.
    Thanks

    • Yes – Jingle Cruise will return this year.

  • Erin,
Will there be any Christmas decor in the park before November 13th?
    Thanks,
    Ricardo

  • Any information about when the holiday celebrations end at Disney World? Is it the same, through January 6th?

  • Jingle Cruise this year?????

  • Will the park be operating as normal on the 12th? i wanted to go for my 18th bday but I dont want to have to deal with ride closures.

  • Keeping my fingers crossed that some of the festivities start early. I have family visiting that week and they leave on the 13th and have been wanting to show them the parks during the Holiday.

  • So excited for the Holidays at Disneyland. So bummed I’m missing Halloween but Christmas is magical.

  • Is Mickeys holiday party offered at DisneyLand?

    • Sorry, Christy – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is only offered at the Magic Kingdom in Florida.

  • Ah, the Christmas parade. Will Max be with his dad in their gingerbread holiday house?

  • “The “Frozen stuff” was a rumor reported by an unofficial site, as you know. It has not been officially announced by Disney. I’m sure that if and when Erin has that info — if it comes to fruition at all — she will tell us.”

    Sherry– Well said. 🙂

Erin– Thanks so much for the info. 🙂

  • So excited the Christmas decs will be in place for Avengers weekend. See you then and tomorrow too. 🙂

  • Will you Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders get too draw Christmas Cards again for World of Color – Winter Dreams?

I would love <3 too draw an all new Christmas Card. If not that's ok I'll just point out which one I drew last year in 2013 :D.

  • Aubrie — The Candlelight dates are, indeed, 12/6 and 12/7 this year. That information has been official for a while (it was posted on the Disneyland Events website in July). It was held on the 7th and 8th last year. The Candlelight times are usually in the range of 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. As of 2013, Disneyland was not offering any dinner packages or reserved seats for the general public, so there was no cost involved.

Thor — The “Frozen stuff” was a rumor reported by an unofficial site, as you know. It has not been officially announced by Disney. I’m sure that if and when Erin has that info — if it comes to fruition at all — she will tell us.

  • Do you know if walt disney world decorations will be still there on January 5th?

  • When will information on the Candlelight Processional be announced? Ive gathered the dates are the 6th&7th from my research? Although a cast member told me 7th&8th… I’d like to know cost and accurate dates and times 🙂

  • Did the Jingle Cruise not make the cut this year?

And what about the announcement on all the new Frozen stuff being installed for Christmas this year in Hollywood Land? When will that announcement be made?

  • Thank you so much, Erin! 🙂

Believe me when I say that it is never too early to announce the official holiday season dates and activities, because people ask about these things months and months in advance so they can make their plans. We could be in the middle of hunting Easter eggs and it wouldn’t be too early to learn the holiday season details! Lol.

I am so glad to see that the ice rink and the Winter Village will be returning to Downtown Disney this year. I think that they added the right dose of holiday merriment to DTD in 2013, and provided a nice transition/pathway from the festively decorated hotels of the Disneyland Resort to the parks!

I am also thrilled to see that Viva Navidad is coming back to DCA. What a vibrant, jubilant and joyful celebration that is! You can’t help but smile (and dance) when watching the procession.

Is Jingle Cruise returning this year?

  • Derek,

You can call Disney Floral and Gifts at Disneyland 714.781.4438 or visit their website to order Christmas trees.

  • No Jingle Cruise this year?

  • What about Jingle Cruise? Is that holiday overlay returning this year?

    • Sorry for the delay – yes, I can confirm that Jingle Cruise will return this year!

  • I no longer receive the blog emails – is there a way to re-subscribe?

  • Is there going to Frozen Fun similar to one the one at Disney’s Hollywood Studios ?

  • Hi Erin,

My family and I are going to be spending 7 days at the Disneyland Resort, with Christmas in the middle of our vacation. We went a few years ago for Christmas and I was able to pay for Mickey Mouse and Santa to leave a surprise Christmas tree and decorate our room with goodies. Will that be offered again through the Disneyland Hotel? I can’t wait for Christmas in Disneyland, the family memories are so special!

    Thanks,
    Derek
