As Pam shared earlier, we’re celebrating the official 40th birthday of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. And to mark the occasion, we have a special video – the first-ever reunion of the original cast. The Pioneer Hall Players were college students to begin the show’s 40-year run and tonight, they’re back to share their favorite memories.

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue presents three shows nightly, seven days a week, at 4 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. If you’ve experienced Hoop-Dee-Doo, please let us know about your favorite memories in the comments.

  • Great Fun! Celebrated many birthdays & anniversaries. Hubby played Davey Crockett’s angel back in the 80s. He looked adorable in his little pink tutu! Taken both of my grandkids, one in 2012 and the other in 2013. Grandson was 18 months old and was entranced. He loved the wash boards. Looking forward to taking the third grandchild scheduled to be born in February. Can hardly wait!

  • Fantastic experience! Everything about this show is wonderful: the performers, the food, the service!! We sat in the category one seating and my son was chosen to go on stage and play the part of the Texas Ranger. That was 4 years ago and he still talks about it. I highly recommend this show!

  • I went there 10 years ago with my friend and we had a blast!! I will never forget them plopping the bucket of food on our plates. That was so awesome and I laugh each time I talk about it. Congratulations on 40 years and here’s to 40 more!

  • I love this show and have been on several occasions. It is honestly worth every single penny spent. We are planning on taking our son for the first time next year when he’s just a bit older. Cannot wait!

  • Hoop Dee Doo is a must do on every trip we make. We’ve been going 1-2 times a year since 1990 and never missed the show. We love it. My kids are grown up and they still love it. Yes…we pretty much know al the lines….but we still love it. Congrats on getting everyone together…you’ve created a wonderful show.

  • Last night was my first time attending and I had such a magical experience. The food was great. The service was great. The entertainment was hilarious. I wil ldefinitely be back!

  • Love this show! Saw it twice in the 70’s and may other times over the years. The energy generated by the performers is incredible. It’s just a lot of fun. Get out those washboards and enjoy the show!

  • Being pulled up on stage last year to play the role of the Indian.. 🙂

  • Saw it 20 years ago on mine and my wife’s honeymoon and then for our 20th anniversary earlier this year; front and center we danced in front of everyone. It was great then and still great now. Kudos to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and many more!

  • I will be visiting for WDW for the first time in late Sept (though have been to DL a zillion times)….and booked the show for our first arrival night…..I cannot wait to see it!
