“This is Halloween, everybody make a scene!”
With fall settling in and the Mickey Pumpkin welcoming guests to Disneyland park, Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is in full swing! Between Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy (my favorite seasonal attraction overlay) and all the delicious seasonal food offerings, fall is providing some fair competition to my favorite time of year, Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. The first Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland park is just days away and today I wanted to share some tips for planning your visit to the special ticketed event. As always, I love reading your tips in the comments below!
- Show your Disney Side with your Halloween costume: Everyone attending Mickey’s Halloween Party is encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costume! Your costume should be child-friendly, with no sharp objects. It also should not be obstructive, offensive or violent. Keep in mind you’ll be walking around at night, so be mindful of a costume that may drag along the ground. In addition, masks must not obstruct your vision or cover your eyes.
- Mickey’s Hide and Go Treat Trails: It wouldn’t be a Halloween party without the opportunity to trick-or-treat! Be sure to pick up a trick-or-treat map at the Main Entrance to Disneyland park to guide you to the numerous Halloween treat stops! You especially won’t want to miss Phineas and Ferb’s Rockin’ Treat Trail at Innoventions in Tomorrowland and the Piratepalooza Treats in Frontierland!
- Exclusive Mickey’s Halloween Party Entertainment: My favorite part of Mickey’s Halloween Party is the exclusive entertainment offerings. Don’t miss the Cadaver Dans floating along the fog-filled Rivers of America! Also, if you’re a Disney Villains fan, stop by Main Street, U.S.A., to see these wicked tricksters conjure up some spooky surprises. You can also celebrate Halloween with some of your favorite Disney characters during Mickey’s Costume Party Cavalcade. For me, the highlight of Mickey’s Halloween Party experience is always “Halloween Screams” fireworks spectacular, hosted by none other than Jack Skellington, taking place at 9:30 p.m. Keep in mind that all entertainment offerings are subject to change without notice.

Is there going to be any new Trick or treat stations this year?
What characters will be available for the Meet N Greets this year.
This will be mine and my son’s first time at Mickey’s Halloween Party.
Does anyone know the capacity cap for these events?

The most I can say is to get in line for the one meet n’ greet you really want to do then enjoy the rest of the night trick or treating or taking pictures with the characters due to the fact that it does get really…really crowded to the point of making Anna and Elsa’s meet n’ greet line look dwarfed.
I just really hope this year the winds don’t decide to invade when we go on the 6th. Last year we didn’t get to enjoy the fireworks due to them and not to mention it got reaaaaaaaly gusty.
Question though, what will the healthy alternative of candy be this year?
@Gina definitely do the character meet ups last. everyone goes to those first and the lines are ridiculously long from an hour to a two hour wait. So trick or treat, do the rides, and than do the character meet ups last but not too late
I read several different blogs/websites and I get differing advice- Your’s is to do the Trick or Treat Trails and Rides first and then the Meet and Greets, but another very well known site, says the complete opposite… I am really trying to plan this vacation and to make the best of our time at WDW and MNSSHP, but I am having a difficult time deciphering who’s advice to take.
