From the Great Barrier Reef to the outback to Sydney Harbor, there’s so much to explore on an Adventures by Disney vacation to Australia.

I have always been intrigued by the land “down under” (though I never really could pull off a convincing “g’day, mate!”). Australia may be the smallest of the seven continents, but it’s the world’s largest island and sixth largest country. Rainforest, desert, big cities, the largest tropical reef in the world – there’s so much to see. So much, in fact, that planning a trip to this island continent can seem overwhelming.

But while seeing all three million square miles of Australia might not be possible (that would take a LOT of years of saved up vacation time), with Adventures by Disney you can see much of what makes this such an amazing place to visit (on a vacation timeline that your boss will actually approve).

Here are just a few of the highlights of the 12-day, 11-night Australia vacation.

The Great Barrier Reef

It’s one of the Seven Natural Wonders and the only living thing that can be seen from outer space, and with Adventures by Disney you can explore the Great Barrier Reef with a private marine biologist. Snorkel alongside a dazzling array of sea life or view the reef three feet below the surface from inside a semi-submersible vessel.

Ayers Rock
In Australia’s famed outback you’ll enjoy a privately guided hike around the base of sacred Ayers Rock, also known by its Aboriginal name, Uluru.

Explore Scenic Sydney

Pedal around Sydney Harbor on a privately guided bike tour, visit the stunning Sydney Opera House and get a private surfing lesson at the famous Bondi Beach.

Aboriginal Cultural Park

Participate in Aboriginal traditions as Tjapukai tribe members share their culture with song and dance. Listen to a didgeridoo and learn how to throw a boomerang and a spear.

Tasmania Discovery

Soar over eucalyptus trees on zip lines. Paddle a sea kayak on the sparkling waters of Coles Bay. And visit the Tasmanian Devils, wallabies, koalas, wombats and other intriguing animals at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary.

With Adventures by Disney you can rest assured knowing that the itinerary planning details are handled for you, giving you more time to channel your inner kangaroo and pack your pouch (or suitcase, whichever you prefer) for your exciting Australian vacation!

  • G’day from Downunder.
I live in Melbourne Australia. Pity the “Down under” adventure doesnt include my beautiful city of Melbourne. It has been consistantly awarded the title of the most liveable city in the world! Accalaimed by many as Australia’s hub for theatres, cafe’s, amazing restaurants and fashion and remarkable natural beauties such as the “12 apostles” the “Great Ocean Road” Phillip Island’s penguin parade and Werribe Park mansion and Rose garden.Hopefully can be included in next itinerary.Even so you will love the destinations included on this trip.
As for “G’day mate” yes it isn’t heard at every greeting though i can assure you, talk to a tradesman or attend a “barbie” i.e BBQ at one’s mate and the first words echoed upon arrival are….

  • To be honest, you won’t hear many Australians greet you with ‘G’day mate’. That’s a stereotype!
