Who’s ready for cookies, cocoa, and holiday cheer? I sure am! So I’m giddy with excitement that it’s almost time for another season of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

This Magic Kingdom Park tradition kicks off Friday, November 7, and this year the annual event gets an extra dose of holiday magic with “A Frozen Holiday Wish,” additions to “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade,” new character dance parties, and opportunities to visit with not only Santa Claus, but Santa Goofy and “Sandy Claws” too!

“Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” includes lots of Disney characters, along with a holly jolly cast of snowmen, reindeer, elves, and of course, Santa Claus. Ralph and Vanellope from “Wreck-It Ralph” are new to the parade this year, as is a procession of visitors from the Kingdom of Arendelle with Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf from “Frozen.”

The “Holiday Hootenanny!” boot-scoots into the Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland, where you can kick up your heels for some down-home holiday fun with the Country Bears, Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, and Clara Cluck. And over at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Tomorrowland, Club Tinsel becomes the top spot to get down when Phineas and Ferb show up. What are they going to do today? The brothers are going to rock their Christmas vacation with the holiday cheeriest dance party this side of Danville!

Christmas has come to Storybook Circus, too, and some of your favorite Disney pals are all dressed up for the occasion, including Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Scrooge McDuck, and of course, Santa Goofy. And what’s this? Pumpkin king Jack Skellington has been so inspired by everything in Christmastown, he wants to be part of the holiday celebration, too. You’ll find Jack in Storybook Circus – dressed in his finest “Sandy Claws” suit and ready to meet the boys and girls of every age!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is held on select nights, November 7 – December 19, and is separate from regular Magic Kingdom Park admission. Tickets are available now. Get yours before dates start selling out.

Comments

  • Wow! I am new to all this Disney Christmas celebration. I have tried to get tickets online but no luck. I have also called and no luck. I have already purchased regular admission. Will I be able to purchase tickets there for the Mickey Merry Christmas event? It all sounds so amazing.

  • we only have the MVMCP tickets. Will we be able to get into the park at 4pm?

  • Since Disney California Adventure has World of Color Winter Dreams, and Disneyland Paris has Disney Dreams of Christmas do you think its time the Magic Kingdom has there own version of Winter Dreams with the animated projections, and fireworks?

  • Hi. We are arriving mid-day on the 18th and don’t want to waste a park ticket for that day, but would like to attend the very merry christmas party/parade. Can we purchase this separately, without having to use one of our park tickets? How does this ticket work… is it a paper ticket? We will have magic bands for our other tickets.

    Thanks!

  • HAVE THEY RELEASED THE SCHEDULE OF PERFORMANCES AND THINGS FOR THE MVMCP?

  • ^Alfonso you will have to pay separate admission to the park to get in before the party.

How do we know where the character meet and greets are??

  • Hi! I have a big doubt, do I need to buy a day park ticket and then the admisión for this event or how does it work??

  • Is there anything that can tell us where all the characters will be doing meet and greets?

  • Is there a schedule posted anywhere for the Christmas party so I can start planning now for our Dec. 7th visit ? This is our 5th Christmas Party and the excitement never dulls. SO CAN’T WAIT !!!!

  • Are you aware of any special Christmas magic shots? What characters are available for the meet and greets? Can’t wait until I get there in 13 days

  • Will there be a special Memory Maker we can purchase for the Christmas party? I heard that there was one for the Halloween party. Thanks for your help!

  • I also was wondering if the Haunted Mansion has any changes made to it for the party like the one in Disneyland.

    • Natalie – At Magic Kingdom Park, the Haunted Mansion is presented in its traditional form year ’round.

  • Is there any limit on face paint? I was going to paint my sister’s face to look like jack skellington. We’re gonna make a music video of this trip.

    • Natalie – I checked with my friends in Park Operations, and it sounds like you and your sister will be fine. The general costume guidelines in the park just state that your vision should not be impaired by the costume and that it be in good taste, befitting the family-friendly environment of our parks. Have fun!

  • Hey I have regular park admission to Magic Kingdom. Is there any part of the Christmas party we can partake in? I also heard towards the end of December if you have regular park admission the parade and a show will be available to guests. Is that accurate?

    • Quevedo – The entertainment offered during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is exclusive to party Guests through the last event night of the season, December 19. Between now and then, you can enjoy “A Frozen Holiday Wish” every night at 6:15 p.m. Some features from the party, including the parade and stage shows, are presented during regular park operating hours Dec. 20 – 31.

  • What is the parade route?

    • Liz – “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” will start in Frontierland, proceed through Liberty Square and around the Central Plaza, then head down Main Street, U.S.A. to Town Square.

  • Joe on question #7. the SOTMK party card is Elsa. Saw a pic of it on Facebook somewhere.

    • Jennifer also announced it here on Disney Parks Blog. It looks cool. I can’t wait to see what it does in the game!

  • Will the one day memory maker be available for the party?

  • I cannot wait, this will be my first Merry Christmas Party. Will be there next week. I cannot wait!

  • One more question: if I decide to get the “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” ticket, what time can I enter the park? Is it 4pm as in the previous years? Many thanks.

  • HI Shawn, What happens if we have only a regular (day) admission ticket during the day of an event: do we have to leave the park at 7pm or can we just go to a different area of the park? Is it possible to see the fireworks from other areas?

    • Fabricio – Regular park admission grants you access to Magic Kingdom attractions and facilities from park opening through the regular closing time, which is 7 p.m. on days when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is held. After closing you would need an event ticket and wristband to continue enjoying the park. As for Magic Kingdom fireworks shows, they can also be viewed (at least in part) from the Transportation and Ticket Center and some areas of select Magic Kingdom Resorts.

  • Hi everyone I’m so excited my family and I will be going to the MVMCP for the first time in december we are so excited. I was wondering is there any meet and greets with Wreck-It-Ralph and Vanellope? My 4year old loves Ralph and wants a picture with him. Thanks

  • I will be attending the day before my birthday. Having “Sandy Claws” is the bestest unbirthday present I could ever ask for. Will there be any guide showing which photo-op characters will be where in the park?

  • Will any of Cinderella’s mice friends be there? My absolute favorite character is Gus and I have never been able to meet him!

  • Will regular park characters be at the party? Like Peter Pan, Gaston, and Aladdin and Jasmine?

  • Will Prince Eric be somewhere during the Party for meet and greets, perhaps with Ariel in Ariel’s Grotto?

I am VERY excited to see Daisy and Scrooge McDuck will be out for meet and greets. Will they be in any particular location in Storybook Circus, or just scattered through the area like how they were for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party? Thanks.

    • Lauren – You’ll find characters throughout the Storybook Circus area. Prince Eric, however, will not be appearing.

  • Will Sally be with “Sandy Claws”?

    • Michelle – Jack is on his own as “Sandy Claws,” since Sally has returned to Dr. Finkelstein’s lab. I hear she’s working on escaping again in time for next Halloween, though.

  • Does it snow every night at the magic kingdom or only at mickeys very merry christmas party

    • Elaine – Snow on Main Street is a special treat for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

  • Why isn’t there a Premium Event during MVMCP to offer special viewing of parade & fireworks? This is a disappointment after the Premium Event @ MNSSHP with special viewing area? Will something be announced later? Hope so!Thanks!

  • Will there be a premium event of some kind during the parties like sinister soiree during halloween?? hope so

  • We will be celebrating our Daughter’s 7th Birthday at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year, so excited!!!!Tickets already purchased, what time will be allowed to enter the park?

    • Marvia – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party officially kicks off at 7 p.m. on event nights. On the day of the party, event ticket holders may enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4 p.m. You’ll just need to get a wristband as you enter to identify you as a partygoer.

  • What about the princes and princesses? Somebody from the Parks Blog confirmed them at a comment on another post..

    • Sabrina – Yes, the princes will be joining Cinderella and Rapunzel at Princess Fairytale Hall, as well as Snow White and Aurora in Fantasyland.

  • Will there be a premium event of some kind during the parties like sinister soiree during halloween?

    • Nicholas – No separate event like that is planned for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year.

  • Will the Seven Dwarfs be meeting with guests this year?

    • Jennifer – Yes! Look for them in Fantasyland.

  • This is a great event for anyone of any age, the parades, rides, cocoa, cookies, apple slices, and even SNOW. I would suggest anyone going be prepared to spend a little extra as the party only items sold in the shops are hard not to buy.(have done it 3 times and plan to visit next year so I can do a fourth)

  • How about Mary Poppins and Bert? I’m anxious to meet Bert and am celebrating my 40th at Disney!!!

  • I was there about 10 years ago, do they still take your picture? I think that it was free but I don’t remember for sure. No real characters in the picture, they just added the characters on the bottom of the picture. We are going on December 2 with our 4 granddaughters.

  • Will Olaf or Kristoff have a meet and greet?

    • Michelle – No, but you’ll have plenty of opportunity to see them during two performances each of “A Frozen Holiday Wish” and “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.”

  • Is there any word on what the SOTMK Christmas card will be this year?

  • Yay! I can’t wait to see the parade this year. Will the blog be posting pictures of any of this year’s parties to get me through until I can see it myself on December 7? Please?

    • Shannon – You can count on it!

  • So excited for MVMCP! Will there be a hard ticket event like Villains Soiree? Is that going to happen?

    • Emily – No separate event like that is planned for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year.

  • Any News on the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Party Card?
Also are they doing the $75 gift cards with the pins this year? If so when will they be available?

  • Will Seven Dwarfs Mine Train be running during the Party?

    • Robert – Yes! And it’s so much fun to ride at night!

  • Santa Goofy AND Sandy Claws!!!!! Man I can’t wait to have my pictures with them! Can’t wait to attend my first Christmas Party!

  • Excellent news. Can you confirm that the seven dwarfs will be there also?

    Thank you

    • Yves – Yes, they sure will!
