The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, a favorite holiday offering among many of our park guests, returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios tonight.
This annual holiday offering, which illuminates the Streets of America with millions of dancing lights, animated displays, 3-D effects, and falling snow will take place through January 4, 2015.
Tell us in the comments section – is this one of your favorite holiday sights to see at Walt Disney World Resort?

I haven’t been in years but it is so amazingly magical! As someone who has grown up in the Canadian cold it is so nice to be able to walk in Florida and take your time enjoying the beauty of the holiday lights, sounds and sights. I hope to experience it next time we are in the World and share it with my family. Truly an experience I’ll always cherish and never forget!
It’s an amazing holiday offering, Andrea. As a former northerner, I look forward to it every year.
This is my very favorite Disney holiday tradition every year. I try to stop by and see the lights several times while they are up. The experience is captivating and magical – the music, the lights, the “snow”, finding the black cat’s hiding place! I cannot wait to go!
🙂
One holiday attraction that I cannot miss when I’m at WDW during the holidays. It’s spectacularly planned and executed with enhancements each year. Long may it continue to flourish.
Going to see this for the first time in two weeks! Are these lights always on or are they party of a light show? If it’s a show what time does it start? Thanks!
The show starts at dusk every night. Don’t miss it!
Well, it used to be my favorite; before they added the music. We really enjoyed seeing the lights while listening to the Traditional Holiday music. But it is still one of our favorite sights to see.
This is my absolute favorite thing to see in Disney World during the holidays!!! I love to just hang out on the street and enjoy the lights, music and people watching. One night right before closing in 2013, we were hanging out
and people were bustin out their dance moves to the songs, my 2 daughters ages 1 and 4 were joining them. Talk about great memories. Please, please! never get rid of Osborne family lights!!!
Hi Jasmine!
The nightly lighting ceremony is at Dusk (about 6:00) so get yourself a times guide card for exact time when you’re there. There will be no viewing of the lights on Nov. 20 so don’t go on that night.
Hope this helps.
This is the only reason I come to Hollywood Studio’s. I sure hope they never get rid of them. They are awesome. And the music make it even better. I can sit and watch for hours. !!
I went this past weekend with my son, and we did sit and watch for hours!
This is a must-do for me every holiday season. By far, the Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights is my favorite holiday tradition at Walt Disney World. Especially now, this is the second season, wearing Glow-With-The-Show Ears and see its ears light up to the beat of the music. And how can I forget looking for the black cat.
On December 10th, we have reservations at Hollywood Brown Derby that include tickets to Fantasmic. Hollywood Studios closes at 6:00 p.m. Presumably, we have to leave right after the show. Will we be able to see the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, or will we need to go back another night?
I’m headed there Thursday with my kids. I was thinking I’d like to take some portraits like the one in this article, but it looks like those areas are actually roped off. Is that the case?
