It’s time to celebrate the holidays, Radiator Springs style! Registration is now open for the Disney Parks Blog Christmas in Cars Land Meet-Up on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.

Celebrating the Holidays in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park

Lightning McQueen and his neighbors have decked out Route 66 for the holidays, and they’ve invited us for a special, after-hours party! The evening will begin with reserved viewing for “World of Color – Winter Dreams,” then we will celebrate the holiday season by racing through Ornament Valley, sipping cocoa, enjoying special holiday treats and more.

So join us the evening of Wednesday, December 3! Space for the event is limited and you must sign up here. Please remember the following:

  • All participants who sign up for the event must be 18 years or older, but guests of the participants may be younger than 18.
  • Limit one guest per registrant.
  • Meet-up confirmations are non-transferrable and have no cash value.
  • Confirmation will be for the accepted registered person plus one guest.
  • Valid photo I.D. will be required at check-in.
  • Disney California Adventure park admission will be provided beginning at 7 p.m. for the event, but participants will be responsible for any parking fees.

I will give an update at the top of this post when capacity has been reached. Please note the event is subject to change or cancellation without notice.

  • My husband has seemed to lost the email for registration. He does have his reservation number from a screen shot on his iphone. Does he need the print-out, or will his I.D and reservation number be OK?

    Noticed a chance of rain on Wednesday. Will our event go on even if it rains or will the date change? I’m so looking forward to this event. CarsLand is my favorite. Have my CarsLand Christmas Sweatshirt all ready to go.

    • Sorry, Eric! After you check in, we’ll head directly to our reserved section (with a quick stop for a surprise). After the show, we will have Cars Land to ourselves until 10:30.

    After World of Color, how long will the event last in Car’s Land? Also, if we check in at 7, will we be able to go on any rides prior to the show at 8:15?

  • i was able to register! but quick question, does a child under the age of 2 count as my guest? or would I be able to bring my son and wife? thanks guys! looking forward to an awesome event

    • Anthony – You can bring a child under 3 in addition to your guest.

  • Hi Erin, is there any extended hours/park entry admission for this event for those of us to were able to get in?
    Last time at the Disneyland 60th birthday sneak peek we received a pork hopper in addition.

    • Hi Arlene – We’ll provide admission to Disney California Adventure park, but only early enough for us all to get to our “World of Color – Winter Dreams” viewing location.

  • Reached capacity ridiculously quickly. Real bummer since we’re from out of state and this actually (for the first time) was during our vacation – which also happens to be a celebration for our daughter’s first birthday and our last trip for a while. Congrats to those who got in!

  • I swear, the days I don’t refresh my page every 5-10 min a Disney Blog event pops up. When I finally do see it, it’s already closed. I tell ya, getting into these things is like winning the lottery 1 in 1,000,000 chance. 🙁

  • I would love to finally attend one of these events — especially one for the holiday season, which is my favorite time to be at Disneyland Resort — but they fill up way too fast. 🙁 By the time I see that the RSS feed has been delivered to my browser, the slots are already booked up. I have not been able to get into a meet-up yet.
