I recently shared with you some of my favorite holiday-themed gifts from Disney Parks. This time, I’m highlighting other popular gift ideas that caught my attention.
Retail MagicBands and Accessories – We now offer select retail MagicBands and accessories on our Disney Parks online store at DisneyStore.com/MagicBand. I’m also delighted to share that the “link-it later” option is now available for graphic MagicBands at Walt Disney World Resort. This means that any retail MagicBand, whether purchased online or at Disney Parks, can now be given as gifts since they can be linked to a valid theme park admission at a future date. See this Disney Parks Blog article for more details about how Link-It Later works.
Made With Magic – Guests can find an ear hat, a Minnie Mouse headband and, my favorite, a Sorcerer Mickey wand (arriving November 21) that light up and interact with select Disney nighttime experiences at Disney Parks. Please note the aforementioned Mickey Mouse glove will arrive in spring 2015.
Merchandise from Disney’s “Frozen” – From dresses inspired by Anna and Elsa to fun toys and dolls, you can find all sorts of merchandise from Disney’s “Frozen” in Disney Parks’ locations such as Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I particularly like the decorative shoe ornaments or the Olaf hat.
Disney Parks Collection By Vera Bradley – Known for their stylish quilted cotton luggage, handbags and accessories, Vera Bradley has been infusing color into all aspects of women’s lives for more than 30 years. We carry several colors in a variety of styles created especially for Disney Parks. Look for them on our online store or in locations such as Cherry Tree Lane at Downtown Disney Marketplace in Florida.
Disney Tagalongs – I first discussed Disney Tagalongs during the 24-hour Rock Your Disney Side Party in May. These small character toys, such as Jiminy Cricket or Yoda, are easily added to your shoulder using a magical, magnetic power disc.
Disney Infinity 2.0 – Guests have endless opportunities to create stories and fun-filled adventures with all-new characters and powers in Disney Infinity 2.0. The best place to find all things related to this game at Walt Disney World Resort is Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney Marketplace. You can also find items on line at DisneyStore.com/DisneyInfinity.
D-Tech Electronic Accessories – Add a splash of Disney to you electronic accessories with D-Tech. Guests can create customized and personalized phone cases including cases for iPhone 6 at D-Tech on Demand in the Marketplace Co-Op at Downtown Disney Marketplace in Florida. Cases for iPhone 6+ and Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available in late November. I also love the battery power bars which give extra boosts for your mobile devices.
Puzzles and Games – As a child, my parents always gave me some kind of game for Christmas. I like the new 1000-piece Disney Signature Puzzles or the Disney Theme Park Edition of Jenga featuring the Hollywood Tower Hotel.
Look for these items in select merchandise locations at Disney Parks. You can also find additional items for the holidays by visiting the Disney Parks online store – DisneyParks.com/Store.
Hey Steve any updates for our members on the Disney fan and annual passholders facebook page…. The Tshirts were a hit but most sizes unavailable on line….
@Kimberly – That’s a great question. I’ll have to ask the teams when I return to the office.
I noticed online there are only the plain bands available. Can we buy themed bracelets at Downtown Disney?
@Melissa – I would check the Disney Parks locations first for any graphic MagicBands. I don’t recall seeing them at Downtown Disney at this time. Disney’s Pin Traders would be a great place to check though if visiting Downtown Disney Marketplace.
Where can someone purchase the Christmas themed magic bands? Can they be ordered online?
@Karen – At this point, the Christmas themed MagicBands are only being offered in select merchandise locations at Walt Disney World Resort.
Hi, i have a quick question do you know if there will be a candle light processional sweatshirt this year? If there is i am trying to get for my mother.
thank for any help you can give!:)
@Brian – Unfortunately, we will not be offering a sweatshirt this year.
How much will the Made With Magic Sorcerer Mickey Wand cost?
@Jacob – All Made With Magic items will be $25.00 each.
So, are Elsa dresses more available for girls now, and no longer limited-supply rationed at the Disney Stores?
(Well, that’s how it goes…)
@Eric – Yes, we have Anna and Elsa dresses available at Disney Parks. It’s important to note that the dresses created for Disney Parks are different than the ones featured at Disney Stores. The Disney Parks dresses resemble the dresses worn by Anna and Elsa at Disney Parks.
I know Disney Store did some different things than Disney Parks when it came to releasing the dresses. We don’t have those things in place here.
@REBECCA – They are already out. They are a set of four Frozen gift cards and pins ($75 each). I bought mine last night at Hollywood Studios.
When you say “graphic MagicBands” for the link-it later option, are you referring to only open edition bands, or does that also include Limited Release and Limited Editions?
@Ethan – ANY retail MagicBand including the solid color, open edition, limited release or limited edition can be linked later. I know it’s something that Guests have asked for in previous stories so the team made it happen! 🙂
Do you know when the Disney Holiday Gift Card series with pins will be coming out? I love the holiday scenes they make!!! Makes great gifts.
@Rebecca – Yes! There are some Disney holiday gift cards with pins this year. Check out this story: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2014/11/new-frozen-disney-trading-pins-come-with-the-purchase-of-a-holiday-pin-series-disney-gift-card/
There are also some other holiday gift cards available including a couple of cards for Hanukkah. You can find them in select merchandise locations at Disney Parks or online: https://www.disneygiftcard.com/cards/occasion/holiday
