A Dining Experience ‘Fantasmic!’ at Disneyland Park

A few weeks ago, fellow Disney Parks Blog author, Erin Glover, shared the exciting news about “Fantasmic!” dining packages coming to Disneyland park. With options ranging from table-service dinners to On-the-Go as well as a fabulous dessert party—there’s something for everyone!

Hand Tossed Cavatappi Pasta Primavera at River Belle Terrace in Disneyland Park Kids Slow Roasted New York Strip at River Belle Terrace in Disneyland Park

At River Belle Terrace, you’ll find a three-course menu. Start with a choice of corn chowder soup or salad. Entrees include slow-roasted New York strip and Cajun shrimp skewer with garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and red wine reduction; rosemary-marinated chicken breast with garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables; or vegetarian hand-tossed pasta with seasonal vegetables in a garlic cream sauce. Complete the meal with caramel apple pie with streusel or chocolate cake with vanilla sauce. Our younger guests can start the meal with a finger-friendly crudité appetizer before a steak or chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Macaroni and cheese is also available as an option. Confetti cupcake with chocolate frosting will tempt their sweet tooth, or choose a fruit skewer.

If you have a sweet tooth like me, I suggest trying a dessert party that takes place 90 minutes before each showing of “Fantasmic!” at Hungry Bear Restaurant. You’ll enjoy live entertainment while enjoying favorite sweets like an eight-layer Ghirardelli chocolate hazelnut cake, a classic opera cake, and a light and creamy New York-style cheesecake. There are coconut and French macaroons and Madeleines with a trio of dipping sauces. To top it all off? A Chocolate Sorcerer Mickey. The dessert party also includes fresh hot coffee, cocoa and a seasonal beverage. Options are available for guests with nut and gluten allergies.

Each dining package includes a “Fantasmic!” FASTPASS ticket for admission to a reserved viewing area for a designated showing of “Fantasmic!” that day. “Fantasmic!” dining package availability is limited. For reservations, visit disneyland.com/dine or call 714-781-DINE (3463).

  • Been a fan of Fantasmic! for over 20 years. This all seems so unnecessary. At least the food looks good.

  • Any idea if the ‘reserved’ area will be seated or standing only?

  • A month ago I would have said, why? Because I’m a huge Fantasmic! fan and think the Disneyland system works so much better than the theater at WDW. But I did the WoC dining for the first time about a month ago and thought it was great and am glad to see something like this for Fantasmic! to allow for a better view without having to stake out a spot so far in advance.

One outstanding question – what happens to the current Fastasmic! dessert buffet? Although I’ve only done it once it is one of my all time favorite Disneyland memories.

    • Hi Lacy, I agree, this is a great way to get an excellent view! With the new Hungry Bear ‘Fantasmic!’ Dessert Package, the current Premium Viewing with Dessert Sampler will no longer be offered.

  • These look like great experiences and I’m glad I’ll finally be able to see Fantasmic again. I’ve avoided seeing it for so long because it’s always such a hassle to get a good spot. I think this is a great improvement, and my family will definitely be utilizing the fast pass kiosks to see this show in the future.

We would also love to to participate in some of these meal packages (or even the dessert package). Unfortunately we tend to avoid these kinds of things because we’re all vegan (no meat, dairy, or egg) and we don’t tend to find enough options to make it worth the price.

Are the menu items you mentioned here the only options available or will we be able to find something to eat too?

  • my family and I are really interested in the on-the-go meals, however will there be options for those with dietary needs such as gluten free options available?

    • Hi Linda, gluten-free options are available at all locations offering ‘Fantasmic!’ packages. Just be sure to inform the cast member of all food allergies and dietary restrictions when you call to make a reservation.

  • These Fantasmic dining options sound very interesting! Are there any vegan menu selections to allow guest with that dietary need a chance to enjoy this great viewing opportunity?

    • Yes, vegan options are available at Blue Bayou Restaurant and River Belle Terrace.

  • Rachel,

Could you let us know what the Vegan options are?

Also, what happens if you booked a package and Fantasmic! is cancelled due to rain? I mean, I wouldn’t pay $61 for just a meal anywhere, so if Fantasmic! were cancelled, I would be a bit upset if I ate at Blue Bayou.

  • Hi! Will the dessert party be a buffet like the Wishes party at Magic Kingdom or Frozen Party at Hollywood Studios? Or plated like the previous dessert party for Fantasmic? Thank you!

  • Hey Rachel,

For World of Color, you get a better reserved seat with a dining option than you would with a regular fast pass. Do you know if it will be the same with Fantasmic as well? Or will all Fantasmic passes be equal? Thanks!

  • I’m coming this Sunday and notice that Hungry Bear is closed for refurbishment. Is there an alternative restaurant offering the Dessert package?
