Sweet Spots to Enjoy Sweet Treats at Disneyland Resort

Whether I’m waiting for the parade, people watching or just taking a break, one thing I love to do when I visit the Disneyland Resort is to find the perfect spot to try one of the tasty treats from our nearby candy kitchens. As you can see, some of my favorite treats include our hand-crafted English Toffee, Pecan and Peanut Brittle, Peanut Clusters, Dark Chocolate Pineapple skewers and amazing apples. These of course, are just a few of the classic choices amidst the many others that will delight your taste buds on your next visit. So where are some of the ‘sweetest’ places to enjoy them? A few of my top picks are across from King Arthur Carrousel, near the Haunted Mansion, Mickey’s Toontown and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, to name a few.

Be sure to make Candy Palace on Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland park, Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure park and Marceline’s Confectionery in the Downtown Disney District your top places to go on your next visit. There’s bound to be something for every member of your family to enjoy.

Where’s your favorite place at the Disneyland Resort to sit back, relax and enjoy the show while enjoying a special snack?

  • Michelle,

We make several trips a year over from our home in Tucson and on the last morning of each trip I make some time to sit on the front porch on Main Street USA across from the Candy Palace. I usually enjoy a cup of coffee and a cinnamon twist from the Bibbidi-Bobbidi Bakery and watch the happy crowds filter him to my favorite place on earth!

    “Sweet” Regards,

    Arizona Mike

    • Hey Arizona Mike! The porch is a great place to sit back, relax and watch. I’ll have to try the cinnamon twist, thanks for the tip!

  • The Smores Bars at Holly Jolly Bakery are pretty much the best things on earth I’ve decided.

  • Hey Ana! I love S’mores! I can’t believe I haven’t tried that yet. I know where I’m going today!

  • I used to love sitting in the Courtyard just past Club 33. It was quiet, peaceful and pretty. I really miss it.

    • I agree, that was a great spot Rama!

  • Hi Michelle! We love getting a chocolate-covered marshmallow treat from Pooh Corner and finding a spot in that little nook near the character meet and greet. Sometimes Brer Bear even makes an appearance! Great place to relax and watch everyone having a fun in Critter Country.

    • What a great tip Andrea! I’ll definitely have to check that out. I love the peacefulness of Critter Country, especially watching the train go by and waving to all the Guests aboard it.

  • Yummy!! I love all the Disney inspired treats at the Disneyland resort. For the holidays we were so inspired by Olaf that we handed out DIY Olaf snowmen out of marshmallows and pretzel stix!! It was such a huge hit. And don’t get me started on those gorgeously decorated candy/caramel apples!!! They are so pretty, almost too pretty to actually eat!!
Hey Michelle, what’s your favorite Disney treat that is made at the Disneyland Resort, and what is your favorite Disney treat that is packaged and only sold at the Disneyland Resort? If you could create your own Disney character inspired sweet treat, what would it be?

    • Hey Alissa! I bet those DIY Olaf snowmen looked amazing! What fun! I can tell you one of my places to get away, sit back and just enjoy the scenery is on the patio of Hungry Bear Restaurant. It’s so beautiful and you get to watch the canoes, Columbia and Mark Twain sail by from time to time.

As for my favorite treat, it’s actually the apple pie gourmet apple. I love the white chocolate, graham crackers that its rolled in and the caramel, of course. As far as packaged treats, I would say the English Toffee, unless there is a package of gummi bears available. That’s definitely a weakness. As for my own Disney character inspired treat. You know, I don’t know. Once I inspired the Cheshire Cat tails that used to be sold at the park. However, I haven’t thought about a new one in awhile. Let me see what I can come up with.

  • i love reading about any thing on Disney!
