Where to Find Flame Tree Barbecue Favorites at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

I try not to play favorites when it comes to restaurants, but it’s hard to top the savory pulled pork sandwiches and barbecued ribs served up at Flame Tree Barbecue.

While we’re refurbishing Flame Tree Barbecue to add additional seating areas, we’re happy to share that some of your favorite items from the restaurant will be temporarily available at various kiosks throughout the park. I’ve got a handy guide on where you can find your Flame Tree Barbecue favorites during refurbishment.

Until Flame Tree Barbecue reopens, Mickey-shaped pretzels and jalapeno pretzels will be temporarily located at Isle of Java in Discovery Island, and look for hand-scooped ice cream and sundaes at Dino-Bite Snacks in Dinoland, U.S.A.

  • We will be at WDW April 11-14. Flame Tree Barbaque is our favorite place for fast food. When will the refurbishment be complete?

  • One of my wife’s favorites from Flame Tree is the onion rings. Is there anywhere in AK to get those?

  • This is my favorite restaurant in all the parks. I’m so glad the food will still be available. As an annual pass holder, I go to Animal Kingdom just for the ribs–yes, they’re really good. Then I go to my favorite spot to eat and relax, the pavilion by the water with a view of Expedition Everest (also my favorite WDW ride). I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

    • I totally understand, I often go to the parks just to grab a bite to eat. 🙂

  • My children love the Winged Encounters that happens right at the Flame Tree Barbecue. Will they still be having that, or will it need to be relocated? Thanks!

  • Never had Flaming Tree BBQ. When I went back in 2008 I waled right by it cuz was having ribs somewhere else later. Instead had a cheeseburger. Im going back to WDW this yr so how does Flaming Tree BBQ ribs compare to other ribs?
