Planners take note!
Two of the biggest questions we get on the Disney Parks Blog around this time of year is “WHEN are the dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?”
Well, wait no longer!
This year, our Magic Kingdom Park Halloween event will be held 25 nights throughout the months of September, October and November; and our signature Holidays event at the Magic Kingdom Park will be 20 nights in November and December.
Dates for 2015 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are:
- September 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27
- October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
- November 1
Dates for 2015 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are:
- November 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 29
- December 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are specially-ticketed events where the Magic Kingdom comes alive with decorations, special entertainment and tons of fun!
Tickets for both events will go on sale in April.

So glad to see this!! I was hoping that I could go to the Halloween party on my birthday, now I know I can!!It’s like a big birthday party with all my Disney friends!! I may be turning 60, but I will be dressing up like Tinkerbell!! Disney keeps me young!!
Do you know when dates for Disney Land will be released?
The TA calendar has MK closing at 7pm on 9/1, 9/4 and 9/7. Will these be changed or is there a possibility of parties being added?
Will MVMCP not be running on Tuesday, December 1st? It almost always runs that night and we were planning to buy tickets for that night?

Darn, the first Halloween party last year was Sept 1. I booked accordingly. Booked Sept 5 – 12. bummed, just really bummed.
Then why does MK close at 7pm on Sept 1, 4 and 7?
We always plan the perfect weekend to usually enjoy the first night of MVMCP, and the last weekend of F&W, now, F&W is extending an additional week, and MVMCP starts on Sunday instead of Friday. Oh, what to do?
Why are the Halloween parties starting so late this year?? The last 4 years, the party has started the 2nd Tuesday of September (save for last year when Labor Day was on the 1st last year). This year, they start the third Tuesday. Why?
There already taking bookings for the Halloween party, yet they have not released the info for the Star Wars Weekends Character guest list for May and June so we can book our holiday on a weekend with our favorite Star Wars person time is ticking past fast and we cant plan our holiday or book our fastpass attractions
My family is so disappointed that we will not be able to attend a MNSSHP 🙁 We are unable to travel in late September and really hoped to see a September 1 party date. Would love to experience this event 🙁 I regret getting my children’s hopes up.
Are you missing some dates? The Magic Kingdom is closing at 7 on September 1, 4 and 7. Why the early close on those dates?
I know myself and many others were hoping there was going to be a MNSSHP on Sept. 1 or Sept. 4. Any chance that more dates will be added?

Yea for Disney getting these dates out so quickly!! I am disappointed, my family and I were planning to head for the Halloween party the week of Labor Day, however no party dates are offered then. No sure if we will be able to attend that celebration. 🙁
So, so disappointed to see that there aren’t the early September date(s) like the parks opening hours calendar hinted at. We were keeping everything crossed for a September 1st party, especially as Magic Kingdom appears to be closing at 7pm on that date.
Are there any chances of more, earlier dates being added? (Please?)
Was hoping that MVMCP would start the Friday before the W&D Half Marathon like it has in the past. Disappointed it starts on Sunday, not Friday! 🙁
I saw on one site 9/1 and was happy we will be there and wanted to bring the kids. They would be over the moon. Now I see on here no date for 9/1 hope they add it!!
So disappointed! A group of us booked hoping the dates would start earlier in September as in the past years, I booked Sept. 6-13. I absolutely LOVE the MNSSHP parade and trick or treating… Does Disney ever add event dates if the demand is there? Just wondering…hope upon hope ºOº maybe a little disney magic!
I was also hoping for a September 1st date for MNSSHP. I did see the Park Hours for Magic Kingdom that day and they close at 7 pm so I was hopeful.
I have a trip planned over Labor Day weekend in hopes of catching a Halloween party. I knew it was a gamble when I booked the trip, but now I’m not sure what to do on Labor Day? Is MK still closing at 7pm on Labor Day?

Oh no, I was going to treat my son and his girlfriend to the Halloween party as a graduation gift – thought the 7th Sept was going to be a party night. So disappointed.
The calendar shows Magic Kingdom closing at 7pm on Monday, September the 7th. I was planning my September trip around that date, hoping for MNSSHP.
We’re going Sept 1-5th and I’d be thrilled if there really aren’t parties that week! I’d hate for us to not be able to spend our last night there watching the fireworks and electric light parade at MK! 🙁 Hoping for more concrete news soon!!
I was also hoping for a 9/1 party. My 180 days is next week and I was planning around that. The park is still listed as closing at 7. Some other sites are also listing the 1,4 and 7th as party days. So bummed.
Add us to the list of those who are disappointed! Please Disney add some early September dates.
So sad! We have booked our trip since October (11 months DVC window) for early September to attend a MNSSHP and now Disney announces the parties starting a lot later that previous year. If Disney want us to plan so far in advance, they really need to start announcing hours and special events a lot earlier than they are doing now.
I really hope they still add parties to those free spots on 1, 4 and 7 so we and everyone else that scheduled for early September parties, can get what we expect.
So disappointed. Planned out the whole trip itinerary around the early September party dates. This was going to be our once in a lifetime chance to go to MNSSHP as coming from Canada and Labour day being late we aren’t back in school yet. (This only happens every 7 years, my kid will be all grown up next time it happens). If there is no party why is the MK still closing at 7pm? So very sad about this, definitely a sad night as I go about re planning the whole trip schedule.
Kinda disappointed the party isn’t running early September. I’ve always traveled for/around the first 2 weeks of September and will be again this year. The Halloween Party is my favourite thing about travelling that time of year, and now that’s gone. Since the hours for the 1st and 4th are listed at closing at 7pm, I hope some parties are added for those nights 🙂
I am going to take a shot in the dark with a little common sense thinking. They start the Halloween party based on the Labor day Holiday. Now Labor day always lands on the 1st Monday in September. With that being said, It pushes everything back back a week for starting. Will most likely be that way for the next 5 years. Then it will go back to labor day weekend. As far as closing Early a few nights, My guess is that is for decorating. They can not do everything in the middle of the night as much as we would like them to. They do need more time to get things done. IF closing early a few nights before the 1st party to make that magic happen, Then its worth it! Yes i will be there Oct 31st Dressed up as Jack!
On the My Disney Experience app, it says the halloween parties will be select nights from September 1 to November 1, 2015.
September 4th and 5th are more than likely the dates for Night of Joy.
We booked 11 months in advanced, according to previous MNSSHP, and leave on September 11. Are we really going to miss the party?? So sad 🙁

I truly hope that THIS is the year that I finally make it to a Halloween Party! I LOVE the Christmas Party!!!
As a new annual pass holder, I think I have the perfect reason to go to both now!!
I too, am disappointed about no party on 9/1. Having a high school age student limits our travel dates.
I too am very disappointed that there is apparently no Halloween party planned for 1st Sept this year, despite the park already being scheduled to close to regular guests at 7pm on that night (which never happens apart from hard ticketed events).
Travelling from the UK, we had to book our flights some time ago and I specifically chose our dates to travel home on 2nd September as this is the only year that we will be able to extend our dates into September without impacting on my daughter’s school term.
I really do hope that there will be more dates announced soon as I’m going to have some very disappointed family members otherwise.
So disappointed. We booked a Labor Day trip this year specifically so we could attend the Halloween party for the first time.
Night of Joy will be on September 11 and 12. We are so disappointed, too. And confused by the 7pm closings at MK the first week of September.
Our family was hoping to attend our first MNSSHP over Labor Day. Very disappointed.
Like so many others, I too am disappointed. We were really excited when we saw Magic Kingdom closing at 7 on the 1st. My kids will be sad to hear the news. I hope you think about adding more early dates.
We are coming Dec. 27 to Jan 2 . Are any special nights going to be scheduled then?
Allison, I have the same question. I can make ADRs on Tuesday but need to know what’s going on at Disney on the 5 days I’m there so I can plan accordingly. Why is MDE showing Magic Kingdom closing at 7?! Is there a plan to have a party that night? When will we find out the scope?
hoping for a party on September 4th too. 7pm close on a Friday seems odd with no party planned.

We attended the party first week in September last year, and was hoping to again this year. REALLY hoping Disney adds earlier dates. Will be so sad if they don’t. Will whining help? Pleeeaaaassssseeee add more dates Disney party planners?

Please add some early September dates for MNSSHP. I am taking my 8 year old daughter and she is very disappointed. (me too)!
