UPDATE: This event has reached capacity and confirmation emails are being sent. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for future opportunities!

Hear ye, lords and ladies! By royal decree, Disney Parks Blog readers are invited to attend a grand celebration of Disney’s new live-action film, “Cinderella”! Your presence is requested the evening of Wednesday, March 4, for Disney’s “Cinderella” Royal Celebration at the Disneyland Resort.

Guests at this gala event will be among the first to see the new film, in a special screening ahead of the March 13 release of “Cinderella.” Then, you are invited to join us at a grand reception, complete with music, delicious treats and special surprises! We encourage you to come in your finest royal attire, and ones young should come dressed as their favorite prince or princess – it will surely be an evening fit for royalty!

And not to worry, our East-coast friends! We will have details to share about a special “Cinderella” screening at the Walt Disney World Resort soon.

“Cinderella” is inspired by Disney’s 1950 animated masterpiece in a visually dazzling spectacle for a whole new generation. Directed by Academy Award-nominee Kenneth Branagh, the film stars Lily James in the title role, Richard Madden as the Prince, Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett as the infamous wicked stepmother, and Academy Award-nominee Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother.

  • HELP I know that I registered and confirmed to attend this event but I never received a confirmation email. I’m worried about making the drive up from San Diego with an excited 7 year old, just to get turned away. Is there any way I can check and make sure I am on your list for today?

    • Samantha – Just bring your photo ID to check-in and you should be fine.

  • It said I got in, but I never received an email. HELP!!! Samantha

  • This is such an amazing opportunity!! Can’t wait to see pictures.

  • will there at least be a check-in there for electronic devices? or will we really have to leave our phone/etc. in the car?

    • Ginger – We won’t be checking devices; we’ll just ask that you not use them in the theater.

  • So Erin, so if you bring your phone in(if its turned off), you will be denied entrance to the event? Just want to make sure.

    • No – We’ll just ask that you not use your phone in the theater.

  • I check this site daily, hoping to get in on ONE of these events. After checking this blog several times on 2/25 I went to attend Wensdays with Walt , only to find that while I was AT Disneyland this event was posted and filled !! Can’t seem to win.

  • Can’t believe I made it in in time! So excited Erin! Bringing my 7 year old niece and she’s so excited! Hopefully we’ll both be able to dress up! 🙂

  • I’m registered for the event but mispelled my email address, is that going to be a problem for me if I don’t have the email?

  • Ohh, bummer! I missed out. I was hoping for something like this, too. Worst part is, I live in Australia but I’ll actually be in Anaheim on the 4th and the 5th of March (for just one night – The 20 Years of Adventure Party! Yay). Grrr….

  • I am the ultimate Cinderella fan my wedding is Cinderella themed. I have been researching for an event like this and I can’t believe it has reached maximum capacity. It would be a dream come true to attend this event. Is there any way that there could be more available space?

  • Will “Frozen Fever” play with this screening?!

  • My little princess is so excited! I think we can definitely do both events since the Indy one starts at 8 pm!! Thanks Erin and Disney Parks Blog!!

  • I got confirmed, but was wondering if I can bring my baby and 3 year old also? Thanks.

  • Will there be photo opportunities? This is my first Disney Parks Blog event and I’m very excited. Even thinking about actually arriving in my best royal attire! 😀

    • Yes! Definitely come dressed for photo opps. 🙂

  • I always see these events just too late to sign up – but I wouldn’t have been able to go because that is also the night for AP event honoring the Indiana Jones attraction at Disneyland (which I am doing)! Why would you hold this the same night?

    • This event is open to anyone, Irene – not just annual passholders.

  • Oh, this is exciting. Maybe you will have the one in Florida the week we are in Orlando.

    Here’s hoping!
