I’m thrilled to kick off my first story for the Disney Parks Blog as one of the authors who will be sharing updates from this year’s Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. It begins March 4 and blossoms for 75 days.
Fittingly, “Fresh Epcot” is the theme this year. And today I have a trio of freshness to share with you:
Blockbuster Blooms
All the way from Arendelle, Anna and Elsa topiaries will make their royal debut at this year’s Festival. Set in a garden vignette from the icy “Frozen” world, it’ll be a perfect selfie opportunity at World Showcase Plaza.
Botanas Botanico
The new Outdoor Kitchen between France and Morocco pavilions will showcase treats like Cachapas with Farmer’s Cheese, a sweet yellow corn pancake, and Seafood Ceviche with shrimp, scallops and grouper with mango and avocado. Wash it down with the fresh non-alcoholic punch, La Tizana. Add a splash of Santa Teresa RHUM Orange Liqueur for an adult twist.
Bands
Our new concert series, Garden Rocks, spans the decades. Pablo Cruise and The Little River Band will perform on the America Gardens Theatre stage for the first time, while Gin Blossoms (opening weekend!) En Vogue, John Secada and Taylor Dayne are Festival newbies.

I noticed that HGTV is not a sponsor of this year’s Flower and Garden Festival. I really enjoyed their presentations in previous festivals. Why are they not participating this year?
Hi, when will the menus for the different food kitchens be listed?
I don’t remember it being listed so late last year.
I’ve been checking every day for the schedule of events that is usually posted several weeks prior to the beginning of the festival. Do you know when that will be available? We will be there for the opening days and are trying to plan our days.
When will the details for the Outdoor Kitchen offerings/menu be available?
Headed down April 30 – May 5…..Is there any news on whether or not the HGTV personalities will be presenting during this years festival? I am bringing my sister down for her first visit to WDW ever and this will be my first Flower and Garden Festival. Want to make sure I have my I’s crossed and my T’s dotted… 🙂
It’s a pleasure to meet you, Victoria! When will photos of festival merchandise be released? Rather than miss it this year, I planned a trip for the weekend it overlaps with the first Star Wars Weekend. Will the festival have a special breakfast with Tinker Bell and Friends whose back story started with gardens?
Great to meet you too, Rochelle. Keep checking the Disney Parks Blog, as I’m sure Steven Miller and his merchandise team will share what will be available. I’ve had a chance to see some of the new items – you’ll want to make sure to take them home to your garden! You’ll be able to see Tinker Bell in her grand topiary-ness (did I just make up a new word?) next to Butterflies on the Go.
Always look forward to the Flower and Garden Festival! What a beautiful sight of nature! Will the Garden of the World Tour be offered this year? It is a wonderful experience and would love to attend in March again!
Hi Maureen! Yes, the Epcot Gardens of the World tour will be available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for ages 16 and up. Theme park admission is required. You can call 407-WDW-TOUR or visit guest relations to purchase your ticket for this three-hour tour hosted by a Disney horticulturist.
We arrive on March 2nd. I had no idea this event exsisted when I booked our vacation. What an added bonus – we can’t wait!!!!
Wonderful! You’ll be here opening weekend. Hope you have a magical time – and welcome!
Welcome, Victoria! Glad to have you. 🙂
I’m so excited to get to experience my first ever Flower & Garden this year, and reading about the new outdoor kitchen has me literally mouth-watering at the thought!
Thanks, Kacie! The 11 outdoor kitchens provide a delicious way to enjoy the gorgeous blooms, plants and topiaries. Bon apetit!
Welcome to the blog Ms. Victoria!
Thanks, Skip!
