When work is completed in 2016, Disney Springs will have expanded to more than 150 shopping, dining and entertainment venues. The area will include four distinct, outdoor neighborhoods with a high-quality, diverse mix of retailers – including premium, affordable luxury and fast fashion options – and sophisticated restaurants.

We have more information on the retail and dining experiences here. Keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for more details in the future as Downtown Disney continues its expansion into Disney Springs.

  • What awesome additions! I can’t wait until it is all complete!

  • Will Sprinkles just be the cupcake shop, or will there be Sprinkles ice cream too?

    • Yes, Sprinkles will offer cupcakes, ice cream and homemade cookies.

  • As we get more and more locations announced, maybe it’s time to publish a map of where things are?
(I’m still not sure quite where the Boathouse is, for instance.)

  • bring back the adventurers club

  • I love the new stuff and as a local I will be visiting lots of these places. I can’t help but feel that the Disney in Disney Springs is getting to small in the sea of all this. I hope there will be more of that Disney Magic feel but I don’t feel it.

  • Will the Pandora store offer unique Disney pieces for bracelets, like those offered on MainStreet USA, or will it be a standard Pandora store? I just got my wife a bracelet for Mother’s Day and I know she will be excited!

  • Edison sounds interesting, has that been announced?
Also, is the themed “village” section of the Springs just the former Pleasure Island (in the middle), or does it incorporate the Marketplace or West Side, too, with the new design for Planet Hollywood?

  • The last time I went to a Vivoli’s it was in Florence, Italy!!!! I can’t wait to go back to Disney World!

  • I absolutely love the entire concept, especially if it boisters the east side Hotel Drive from Lake Buena Vista and includes transport, quicker, to Magic Kingdom.
However, I would have rathered there be extensive additions to Epcot and MGM and a retro visioning to Epcot so that the World Showcase would actually showcase the world and not a few, some poorly chosen, gifts to sell.
As always though, Walt Disney’s vision and especially Walt Disney World has been my favorite place in the world since 1971!

  • OMG I am so excited about Sprinkles!!!!!!! Will there be a Cupcake ATM?

  • Sooo soo sooo excited!!!!!

  • How exciting are these new additions! Cannot wait. And yes, will Sprinkles have the ATM? It’s such a fun thing to experience and really prefect for Downtown Disney!

  • I am over the moon with excitement that Disney has announced all those new shops and eateries!!!
I just got introduced to Pandora and I am coming to WDW in October of this year. I do plan on visiting the shops on Main Street USA to add to my Mickey and Minnie Pandora Collection.
Will the Pandora shop be open this year or next?
I can’t wait to see the new Disney Springs. Each time I read the Disney Parks Blog they are adding more exciting shops to the downtown area, amazing.

  • I do believe its going to be fabulous, but does anyone agree with me that it may become less and less of a Disney feel to it????

  • SQUEEEEE Sprinkles cuppies AND ice cream. Can’t wait!!!

  • Sorry, I may be in the minority, but I don’t go to WDW for high-end shopping.

  • James’ wife here – we just returned from WDW and got to see the changes over the past year at Downtown Disney. It’s nice to have a place to meander around and walk about, we always enjoy the boat rides to Port Orleans and the other resorts from the Marketplace.
Seems to be losing a hint of Disney, it’s nice having shopping and dining options and not all things have to be Disney…but let’s not forget why we go there – we go there for Disney not just for outdoor mall shopping.
So like the others expressing concern, don’t go too far off the WDW path, remember it all started with a Mouse! People hold a lot of memories here and not because it’s a mall.
    <3 WDW!

  • OMG…Sprinkles? You just made my day! Hot dog! 🙂

  • Awesome! I can’t wait for next year and I hardly wait to eat in the Edison Restaurant in Disney Springs Awesome! I love it!

  • Wondering if Wolfgang Puck Express will survive the cut in Disney’s Springs?

  • I am very excited about Edison and I am sure it will live up to expectations. When disney does a project they do it right. I think there is plenty of disney in disney springs and I enjoy the grownup aspect of it. There’s still plenty of disney stores and merchandise, and when all is said and done I’m sure they will decorate it beautifully, in way that still reminds us that we are in this magical place.
