Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration Brings ‘Sweet’ Surprises

Is there anything sweeter than the kickoff to the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration? In my case, yes! There are dazzling and delectable new confections debuting in the candy kitchens at the Disneyland Resort, and I have all the details!

Mickey Minnie Apples 2

These stunning Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse apples are enrobed in caramel, dipped in chocolate and have been dusted in sparkling blue sanding sugar. With final touches of chocolate “gem” buttons and a diamond-shaped bow for Minnie Mouse, these two never looked so delicious.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a celebration without some of our other fan favorites like the marshmallow wand, krispy treat and the ever-popular cake pops, all of which were inspired by the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration sparkling blue and silver tone theme. The candy makers didn’t stop there, so be sure to keep an eye out for a special Ear Hat Cake Pop featuring a commemorative “60” chocolate lay-on.

We didn’t stop there ─ If you were hoping for something more nostalgic, you’re in luck! Chocolate-dipped caramel bars (with and without sea salt) will be available, along with the pecan roll and other delicious treats. Note: These items will only be available at Candy Palace in Disneyland park.

If you are planning to ‘sweeten’ your experience in the park today, visit Candy Palace in Disneyland park; Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure park; and Marceline’s Confectionery in the Downtown Disney District!

What is topping your list of must have treats?

  • It’s wonderful that the Candy Palace will be bringing back some of the better confectionery. It would be fabulous if you could also bring back the Mickey shaped “turtles” (caramel, nuts & chocolate)for a special occasion like the 60th.

    • MJ, I love the turtle candies too. We always have great treats in store for you. There’s no telling what might be available next.

  • Michelle would you please clarify-is it just the carmel pieces that are only in the park or the apples and other treats too? I am shopping by the wonderground gallery today and might pop over to Marceline’s for an apple if they have it. Thanks!

    • Hey Jaime! I’m so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I hope you were able to enjoy some of the fantastic treats. The apples, cake pops, krispy treats, pecan rolls and caramel bars should have been available at all candy kitchen locations.
