Summer may just be getting started, but I’m already looking forward to fall and the return of my favorite event at Magic Kingdom Park, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. And this year’s party will be extra fun with the introduction of an all-new show on the Castle Forecourt Stage.
In “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular,” the mischievous Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” return to the mortal world for one night during the Halloween season. With only a few hours to run amuck, the three sisters decide to use their magic to throw the best, evil Halloween party this side of the graveyard!
With the help of the Disney villains, Winifred, Mary and Sarah gather together sinister shadows, nefarious nightmares and the power of their frightful friends to conjure the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion and cast a spell on everyone in the Magic Kingdom Park. “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” features appearances by Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent and other great Disney villains, along with dancers, projections and special effects that combine to make this new show a not-to-be-missed Halloween treat.
“Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” will be presented exclusively during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, held select nights at Magic Kingdom Park from September 15 – November 1, 2015.

Forgive Me Shawn Slater is this the only Villain Event occuring at Walt Disney World’s – Magic Kingdom Park or will the Villains Unleashed return in the Autumn of 2015?
Kris and Joseph – I am not aware of any plans to hold another Villains Unleashed event.
An All New Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Hocus-Pocus Villain Spelltacular Brilliant and Totally Excellent
Any word/news if there will be a Villains Unleashed event going on this year over at WDW Disney’s Hollywood Studios like last year? And if so, any specific date?
I am doing the DCP this fall, do I have to purchase tickets for this special event?
Melanie – If by “DCP” you mean the Walt Disney World College Program, welcome to the team! Many Cast Members (including me and my family) love attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but it does require a ticket purchase. Tickets are available online, at Disney theme park main entrance ticket locations, or from Company D (Cast exclusive) stores across property.
Hello, My Name is nick and I had a couple of questions. Are you guys going to do the Villain’s Sinister Soiree like last year? Also are you guys going to sell or do fast passes for the VIP viewing for the Parade and this new show during the Mickeys Not So Scary Party ???
This is great! So excited! We will be there from the 26th to November 1st. we would like to attend the party. we have park hopper passes for all the days. do we have to pay an additional cost to attend this?
Angela – Yes. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a specially ticketed event, separate from regular park admission.
ok so since there is no meet and greets with them is there going to be Hocus Pocus merchandise?
PLEAAAAAAASE Tell me they do meet and greets after the show?! Do they?
Any idea when the Halloween tickets will go on sale?
Brandy – Tickets are available now. Just follow the hyperlink on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in the article.
So why will this not be going on at Disneyland? Seems like Disney World often has events that should be held at Disneyland as well. Despite being the original park, we here in Southern California get the short end of the stick when it comes to cool things like this
Mike – The team strives to create unique entertainment experiences at each of the Disney Parks around the world. For example, Disneyland Resort just debuted three new nighttime spectaculars for the Diamond Celebration: “Paint the Night” Parade, “World of Color – Celebrate!” and “Disneyland Forever” Fireworks.
Can’t wait for this! Going to WDW in October for the first time in a long time, and it’s my first Mickey’s Halloween party, will all of the Disney Villains be there or just a select few?
Is this replacing the Villain thing at Hollywood studios
Allison – This is unrelated to that event. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been hosted annually at Magic Kingdom Park since the late-1990s.
Very excited! My first MNSSHP (and only my second ever visit to WDW). I hope my costume is creative enough!
AMAZING! So excited for Hocus Pocus to be finally getting some attention! Hands down the greatest Halloween movie of all time. Fingers crossed for hocus pocus merch!!!!
Are there any discounts or advantages if you have an annual pass?
So frustrating that Disneyland doesn’t even have dates announced yet! I want to plan ahead like WDW folks! They’ve known since April!
so will we finally see an oogie boogie meet and greet?
This is INCREDIBLE!!!! Finally after 22 years the Sanderson Sisters will return, to take over the Magic Kingdom! Winifred, Mary & Sarah are a staple of the Halloween season 🙂
Will they hopefully have some merchandise? Even a pin with the sisters would be great.
I am so happy that the villains are getting more and more love. From Unleash the Villains in 2013 to Villains Unleashed the following year and the 24 hour party I’m SUPER happy that we are getting more of them, especially Hades and Oogie :P. They have always had a special place in my heart.
Cant wait to find out which character will get to light the black flame candle 😉
So, WDW has tickets on sale now, but when will they go on sale for Disneyland?
Will the Kabuki-Masked Man from Big Hero 6 be available for meet and greet? That would really just be the best thing ever!!!
I hate being this person but, Is there any chance the Hocus Pocus sisters will be a Meet n’ Greet come the Disneyland Halloween Party?
For my first time visiting Disney, I’m SUPER-EXCITED that this was added. My girlfriend and I have a whole vacation package set up for the 15th through the 19th, and would like to see this. Are the ticket prices completely separate from our package that we already have? I just want to be absolutely sure that the tickets aren’t included so I can purchase them and not feel like the money was wasted
Mark – I can’t speak to the specific details of your vacation package, but I can tell you tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are separate from regular Magic Kingdom Park admission.
Any chance of new party dates being added early September? We planned and booked our trip based on last year first parties and we are going to miss it for a few days 🙁
Francisco – There are no plans to add additional dates to this year’s event.
Hocus Pocus has been one of my favorite movies ever since I saw it in theaters! I am beyond excited for this show! I might have to watch it again and again! Thanks so much for bring the Sanderson Sisters to the parks!
So excited for this stage show. Im going Sept 22 and 25 and cant wait
sad about no meet and greet for the sisters but super pumped they will be performing!
is the sinister soiree coming back this year?
So bummed about the dates was really hoping it would have started on Sept 1st like last year, going to miss it by a week 🙁 … love Hocus Pocus!
Just ordered my tickets this past weekend for the 22 Sept party! But, I’m wondering if since it is so early in the season will the Autumn decorations be out in the parks and resorts by then? Autumn decorations are my favorite at WDW. Shawn, any idea of the decorating schedule?
Patricia – All the autumn decor in Magic Kingdom will be in place by the time the first Halloween party begins on Sept. 15.
Any news on whether or not the sinister soiree or something like it comes back this year?
So excited! I am also interested if we have heard if there will be an add-on event (Like Villains’ Sinister Soiree) for the Halloween Party and when those tickets will go on sale!
Kelly and Christy – I haven’t heard anything yet about premium packages or other offers for this year. If something becomes available, though, you’ll hear about it here on Disney Parks Blog.
Do we know if they will repeat the Villains’ Sinister Soiree with special seating for the show & parade, too? The Sisters would be icing on that cake!
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!! I JUST CAN’T EXPRESS ALL THE LOVE I HAVE FOR THIS!!!!!
This sounds great! Cant’s wait to see it. It’s great to see the Halloween Party getting some new entertainment. I was almost considering skipping it this year.
This is the BEST NEWS!!! “Hocus Pocus” is my favorite Halloween movie. I’m always clamoring for a sequel so the opportunity to see the Sanderson sisters at the party has just made my year!
This definitely makes me want to come back even though I’m coming down in a couple of weeks. I love Hocus Pocus and I’d imagine you’ll get a number of people wanting to experience this new show.
I am so mad I am going to miss this..Love Hocus Pocus. We chose to do Christmas this year. I wonder if they will have the original Cast (Sara, Bette and Kathy) show up one night? That would be wild!!!
I’m SO excited by this news!!!
This sounds amazing! Will there be a chance to meet the Sanderson Sisters during the party as well?
Will they be availble for a character meet and greet during the party as well?
Verlenia – There will be opportunities to meet some of the Disney villains around the park, but not the Sanderson sisters. They will only be appearing in the show.
Well. Looks like I’m going to Mickey’s Not So Scary this year!
Is Disneyland going to have this also?
Maryann – There are no plans at this time to bring this show to Disneyland Resort.
This sounds amazing. I love when Disney does an obscure throwback like this!
Matthew – “Hocus Pocus” has really increased in popularity over the years. The team is super excited to make these characters part of our annual Halloween event.
Yay! So excited to see a new show!
I am THRILLED over this show. Can’t wait to hear what else is in store!
This sounds really exciting. Too bad I won’t be there :o( Villains are just so delicious!
Is this replacing Villains Mix n’ Mingle?
Jessica – Yes. The team is always looking for ways to enhance the entertainment experience, and they’re thrilled to be able to bring this new show to the Castle Forecourt Stage.
This is amazing news! It’s about time the Sanderson Sisters got some love, especially for Not So Scary!
🙂
So do they close the park early on these nights and you have to pay for the Halloween Party to stay in?
Scott – Yes. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event held on select nights in September and October, after regular Magic Kingdom operating hours.
